La Buga gave us the best experience we could have asked for while traveling through Bocas. We did our open water dive certification course and they made it very fun. Leandro is a rockstar instructor! A fun family atmosphere radiates through the place. Good vibes!

While strolling down the Main Street in Bocas Town, a marvelous chance encounter brought me into La Buga. Upon entering the shop I was instantly won over by the charm of the colorful restaurant, mouth-watering drinks, and the incredible staff who works there.

Something about the whole place caught my fancy at once. I had no intentions of diving on my trip, but the passion that the dive instructors have for the underwater kingdom is so contagious that I found myself thinking "why not?"

You can't match the experience that La Buga will bring to you. It crosses the bounds of "fun" and ventures into "life-changing". Despite all of my hesitations about diving, Tony, Leon, Reinaldo, and all the other amazing instructors were so supportive about empowering me to tackle my doubts and live the experience for all it was worth. The dive sites blew my mind-- we got to see a whole new world of coral reefs and shipwrecks that I never could have imagined!

Picture the moment when you pull the boat back into the dock, flushed with adrenaline after a totally rad dive... The fun doesn't end there! That's when you order a famous La Buga burger (yes there's bacon on it), a balboa, and maybe a daiquiri or two. Over your delicious treats, you'll be laughing and raving about all the things you saw, and you may find yourself considering a second, third, or even fourth dive, or maybe a even a surf lesson.... Because it's just that enchanting!

The point is, whatever you need on your Bocas vacation, La Buga's got it. World-class adventure, the most tantalizing drinks on the island, savory food, music and camaraderie in the evening, fast friendship, and one very lovable parrot named Piñata. Make it one of your destinations on your trip, I 1000% guarantee you'll be stoked!

I dove with two shops while in Bocas, and ended up doing the majority of my dives with La Buga because of their professional level of safety, fun atmosphere and great prices. The staff was excellent in making sure all the dives went well, and any time I had even the slightest problem they were very willing to help out. While they are very laid back and like to enjoy themselves, they are also professional and put the divers' safety and well-being first. I would certainly recommend diving with them while in Bocas!
