This is a very good hotel let down by its situation or by the authorities inability to control noise pollution. This is a recurring theme in reviews but we couldn't work out from the ones we read, which was the better side of the hotel to be on so opted for the side facing the sea. Big mistake! This is the more noisy side and the sea view is limited by a line of trees on opposite side of road. Yes you can see the sea but only just so should be described as sea facing rather than sea view. However the hotel is extremely clean and modern, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and overall the buffet good was very good but not perfect. If you don't mind the noise or better still want to be part of it, then great but several times we were woken by people shouting outside along the road at 4am! It helps if you shut the window and rely on the air conditioning but noise is still am intrusion. Contrary to some reviews , in the time we were here, people were allowed to eat breakfast on the terrace. A great pity about the noise as that is what will be most memorable and that is a great shame as it is outside of the hotel's control.

We chose the restaurant at the Hotel Budva because the menu offered appealing choices and the restaurant itself looked like the best in town. Nothing lived up to our expectations, though. The soups were warm, not hot, and not very tasty. The salads were not what was described on the menu--cut up tomatoes instead of cherry tomatoes, arugula instead of basil, and the main courses were nothing to brag about. The veal with mushroom sauce was veal covered with a pile of noodles mixed with a few mushrooms.

Prices were High considering that the dinner didn't live up to expectation.

We went to this hotel with saga, but there is no mention in the brochure of the noise from the out door disco's about three hundred yards away which meant even with the
balcony doors shut you could not get to sleep until after 1am in the early morning.
This went on even it rained and every night.

Room Tip: Stay away from any rooms facing the beach because of the disco noise.

Lovely hotel. Lacks personality as so big. Can't fault much. Beach is bit rocky but plenty of others near by. Pool bar upstairs quiet and peaceful with brilliant view of old town. Staff very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was good big variety of all sorts. I'd tried something different every morning. Sun sets early over the hotel so if you want nice sunset hit up becci far side of the bay.

Nice Hotel, very close to the old city with a good service.

The only thing that was bad (but nothing to do with the hotel) is not far from the hotel there are "open air nightclubs" with really loud music that stayed open until 2am which I could hear from the Hotel.

It could be cheaper as well overall.
