This is a very modern hotel near the Vilcanota river, about 5 minutes from the train station and about a 2 minute walk to the Machu Picchu bus stand. The hotel staff was waiting for us at the station to pick our luggage when we reached. The rooms are very spacious with subtle Inca touches to the decor. Our room had a balcony with the view of the Vilcanota river, and the water noise was very soothing. The staff was hospitable and always ready to help. The buffet breakfast and sit-down, three course dinner (Novo Andino cuisine) are included in the room rate, and the food was outstanding. They were mindful of my husband’s food allergies, and they did a fantastic job of accommodating him.
They have a full service Aqlla spa, which is a great way to relax after strenuous hikes around Machu Picchu. I had an Andean stone massage treatment, and my masseuse Yolanda was great.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. One negative comment I have is that rooms don’t have AC. Luckily, the housekeeping sent a fan for the room, which made it quite comfortable. However, I am not sure how much the fan is going to help during the summer months.More
