I only stayed here for one night after the Lares Trek and before going up to Machu Picchu, but found this place really nice. The hotel is traditionally decorated but has a modern feel.
My room was clean and comfortable ... the bed felt like the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in .. not sure if it actually was or whether I was just 100x more appreciative after 2 nights of camping and trekking. There was a nice mountain and street view from my room.
Breakfast was served in the lobby and was very good!
The one thing to take note of, Aguas Calientes is hilly.... this hotel requires a bit of a walk from the train station. It's on a walking street so a bit of an uphill hike is required to get here, although it isn't very far (10-15 minutes or so). The area is great, I would have liked to spend a day just around the town actually. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops and beautiful mountain scenery!
I'd recommend this place for sure!More
