Zeljka and her dad run the Casa Bella with an incredible level of smoothness and friendliness that comes from many years in the guesthouse and tourism biz. They have every detail nailed down, more than willing to share abundant information about anything you may want to do, and made us feel quite at home without going overboard. (We were traveling with a toddler and 4 month-old, and were concerned about bathing the baby in a huge tub: Zeljka brought us the baby tub her parents had used for her)

We also left some tidbits by mistake and she found them and mailed them back to us in the States. All in all, you will be hard pressed to find people as friendly and giving as these. The location is superb, but you already know that by looking elsewhere on their site. Loved it.

“Perfect Place to Stay in Rovinj”

My family spent 5 weeks in Casa Belle as we explored Rovinj and Istria. This apartment was the perfect home base for us. Since we stayed for 5 weeks, Casa Belle was our home away from home rather than a couple day holiday stay. Here are some of the best things about Casa Belle.

Casa Belle is in a perfect location. It is right in old town with easy access to restaurants, shops, parking access, and great walks around the Golden Cape. The green market is directly below the apartment, but there is no problem with noise. The views are also amazing. You can enjoy your meals looking out at the beautiful blue Adriatic waters.

The apartment is a great setup for families. The bedrooms were setup nicely; the common space is large and open. Since we stayed in the apartment for 5 weeks, we did a lot of cooking and eating inside the house. Everything you need is available for you. The owners even installed a dedicated high speed Internet line so I would be able to work out of the apartment.

Last, but not least, the apartment owners Zelka and Zelko are amazing people. After renting apartments all over the world, they are easily the nicest hosts I have ever met. They work very hard on making their guest comfortable, providing information on activities and sites around Rovinj and Istria. Zelka helped find a place to celebrate my daughter’s birthday in Rovinj and she loved it. They truly want their guests to have a memorable time while staying at their apartment. I'm grateful to have met them and hope to stay in touch with them.

My family loved Istria and Rovinj. Staying there for so long we were able to experience a lot of things that a short trip would not allow. Staying at Casa Belle was perfect for us and we look forward to visiting again. I would highly recommend anyone staying in Rovinj to stay at Casa Bella.

How lucky were we to find such a comfortable appartment run and owned by two of the nicest people we have every met. The owner of this property Zelka and her father Zelko could not have been more welcoming or helpful. This appartment is in a fabulous location with fresh market below and easy walking distance to all of the attractions of Rovinj. This appartment is certainly not furnished in the latest trendy style however, it is extremely comfortable, lacks for nothing in the way of utelsils/cooking equipment (basics e.g. oil, sugar, tea, coffee etc.) and is very spacious with two large bedrooms (both with kingsize comfortable beds), a large sitting/dining room (air conditioned) with a fabulous view and a large bathroom with bath (shower above), toilet, handbasin and washing machine. The appartment is on the second floor accessed by a stairwell which, on first appearance might look a little old and daunting however, it added to the overall appeal and character of the property. The whole appartment, staircase included, made us feel like locals and we embraced it! We have no hesitation in recommending this property and would go back there in a heartbeat!

“Extraordinary hospitality, extremely good location, lovely apartment”
Reviewed 3 October 2011 for a stay in October 2011

Imagine you had relatives living in Rovinj who invited you to stay in their spacious, airy, and homey apartment, equipped with everything you needed so that you could feel that you were at a home away from home...Now imagine that your apartment was right above a farmer's market where you could purchase fresh, locally grown produce, and that you could see the gorgeous blue sea from your apt, and walk to any part of the atmospheric and pristinely cared for old town within minutes...now imagine your relative was not only warm, kind, and eager to make you feel at home, but a consummate professional...put all those imaginings together and you have the very real Zelka and the Casa Bella. A dream vacation come true!
