“What a fantastic find”
Reviewed 28 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Croatia is amazing, everything was perfect, no delays with taxi transfer which was included in the booking. The scenery set the scene on route to the villa. Assistance given to carry the cases down some steps, on entering the villa I was blown away with the view, the pool and seating area. For me it was just perfect I would have no hesitation booking this villa again.
There are steps which take you to the old town but you can arrange taxis if needed. The cable car is a must to do I wasn't to keen but its worth it at the top i went back a second time and enjoyed a great meal watching the sun set magical experience a must do
Lots of boat trips to enjoy visiting various islands
Croatia is amazzzzzing you must visit and book villa Roza you will not be disapointed

“Amazing Villa, very close to the old town walls !!!”

We were a family of 6 adults (3 couples) who regularly travel together for holidays. From our arrival at the airport to our departure for the airport, everything was smooth and handled very well. The driver was waiting as arranged, our suitcases were carried down the steps from the drop off point a little way from the villa, everything was explained, full details given about how the appliances worked, and where shops/bars were located etc .
The property is very spacious and the outside areas are what makes this villa, the views are great, and you can see the old city wall and the sea. Plenty of outside space to find a quite spot if required. We had never stayed in a self catering property where there have been so many pool towels and towels for the bathrooms. We ate out every night, but if we had been eating in, may be the crockery, glasses and drinking cups could have been more plentiful or matching. We all agreed that if we came back ot Dubrovnik we would stay at Villa Rosa. There are a lot of steps down to the old town but taxis are readily available (although it can be slightly quicker to walk back up the steps than take a taxi if you are fit)

“Beautiful villa with fantastic pool & views”

On arriving late after traffic jam from airport (but with no other hitches in the pre-arranged pick up) it was a delight to arrive at this villa with attractively lit pool- the children just jumped straight in! The villa is clean & well equipped (even supplied all the washing powder, dishwasher liquid, spare loo roll etc) with 2 double rooms in the main building & two doubles (with extra pull out bed options) in an adjoining building with separate entrance so ideal for two families or grandparents or in our case a friend who managed to get lie-ins without being disturbed by our kids!
In the morning we became aware of the fantastic views of the old town from the spacious terrace- the website photos don't do it justice.
The old town is 5 minutes walk away (but down steep steps) & we would walk down & taxi back up. 2 mins up the steps is a cafe & bakery & 2 mins further a small but well equipped grocery shop.
Androu looked after us so well- he came every day to clean the pool & was happy to answer questions, he is a lovely guy who the kids wanted to adopt as their grandad!
We would highly reccommend this villa.

“A superb holiday in a lovely villa”
Reviewed 19 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We were on holiday with 3 generations of our family - from 20 - 80 years old. The villa was lovely, very spacious . The area is very peaceful and pleasant. The service we received was excellent with Andro delivering fresh produce from the market each morning. Dubrovnik itself is incredibly beautiful and a delight to visit. We also enjoyed our trips to Lokrum and a "Three Island boat trip".

The only downside we found was the steep steps down to the Old Town. These were too much for my parents and they did need to get taxis (not expensive) up and down. Easy walking it was not, especially in the August heat!

Villa Roza is the ground floor of a traditional villa. The main part has two double bedrooms: one en-suite; the other with french windows to the terrace. There are a further two bedrooms in what is like a "granny annexe". One of these is en-suite the other you have to go through to get to it. This section is self- contained with its own ouside key - ideal for us with children in their twenties.

The outside of the villa is lovely with loads of space around the pool - with plenty of comfortable , shady areas to retire to. We used the BBQ most nights and had lovely relaxing meals on the terrace.

Overall this is a superb base for what was a very succesful holiday - highly recommended.
