Sadly we only had one night here but would have stayed longer if we could. All rooms are very modern with clean designs. We stayed in the original building and loved it. We had a great view of the sea from both balconies. Easy walk to many restaurants.

This was the third hotel we stayed at on our Croatian road trip, all were great, but my wife declared this hotel the best so far. Highly recommend stopping in this area and staying at the Esplanade!

Truly very pleasant place to stay in. We have experienced numerous hotels in Croatia but this one in definitely remarkable. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The restaurant is perfect, we had wonderful food experience, even though I had quite specific food limitations (paleolithic ketogenic diet) they were able to find and work out a solution for me very quickly and I was very satisfied. Remarkable service. Definitely recommend this hotel. The only thing I missed was gym.

The hotel is nicely located right at the northern end of the town centre of Cricvenika within  walking distance to the main promenade with its shops and restaurants. While not directly on the beach you just have to cross a rather small road to reach the sandy beach. The rooms are very clean (at least for Mediterranean standards) and the hotel has a renovated look. Although being a quite traditional institution, as you can tell be the outer facade and historic pictures hanging around the hotel, the inner style is modern with new meubles and brand new air conditioning in the rooms. The pool area is reasonably sized and clean and the pool features a jacuzzi function and fountains. There is also a spa area with a sauna (included in the price) and massages (extra fee).

When visiting in the shoulder season in late Sept 2019 it seemed like the hotel was run by no more than 6 people. The receptionist appeared a bit tired, so did the bar waitress at the lobby bar. If you managed to get a hold on her and ordered a toast for snacks it took ages to prepare, although there were no more customers in the restaurant area. At the pool there were not enough matresses for all deck chairs. Regarding the breakfast: the hotel tries. There are fresh food and fruits on offer and they have what looked like local honey. The juice is, as expected, made from powder and the coffee, well,... You can also order some eggs made to order but tried the eggs Benedict and they were just horrible. Just stick with the scrambled eggs and pancakes.
