The hotel looked really grand from the lobby, but after a really long bus ride and going to the restroom first and noticing that none of the hallway lights were turned on, I thought it must have been a power outage. Front desk staff, super rude and barely looked up from their phones as they pointed the direction of the restrooms. We were there two nights but never saw another person in the buffet breakfast or in the hotel but our tour group. Very strange and ghostly. Room smelled of smoke and could not get heat or air con working, wifi worked great though. Our room looked like it was only half cleaned, had large pee stain by toilet, we cleaned ourselves with lysol wipes we brought, bath mat was covered in black mold, our lysol wipes were very dirty after we sanitized the whole room. About 8:30pm each night, a lady would call and ask if we wanted a massage in our room. Learn to say "bu yau" in chinese and hang up. Tour guide told us never let anyone in our room and recommended we all not walk around the hotel at night even in a large group. Breakfast was non edible, we only had the noodles from the noodle bar and watched the lady make them. They were delicious. Host at restaurant on last morning screamed at my daughter and I to put our suitcases closer to...The hotel looked really grand from the lobby, but after a really long bus ride and going to the restroom first and noticing that none of the hallway lights were turned on, I thought it must have been a power outage. Breakfast was non edible, we only had the noodles from the noodle bar and watched the lady make them. They were delicious. Host at restaurant on last morning screamed at my daughter and I to put our suitcases closer to the others to not block the walkway, we did, but apparently not fast enough and she kept yelling at us, I finally couldn't take it and screamed at her to "back off" in english and just walked away. None of us got our wake up call and when someone on our tour group asked the front desk why, was yelled at and told that they were never given instruction to do so. It looks like if you stay at this hotel you probably have no choice as it would be a part of a tour, but if given a choice, stay away, I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me to do so. The room pics look alright but it really wasn't. Another creepy thing is our friends were woken by the crying of a child, but everyone in our tour had already gone down to breakfast and there were no other people on our floor, so.............Also all hallway lights are turned off, and getting to your room is fun and scary all at the same time, we were all so scared to leave our rooms at night even to walk down the hall to find each other. Bring lots of videos on your ipad, cause you'll need it.More
