The restaurant is located in the downtown of the São Paulo City. It used to be a place where people would walk on the street and feel safe but not anymore. So the location is not the best, but the restaurant is just amazing. The food is perfect and the staff could be more well trained and prepared to receive you with the open arms. I had the TERRINE FOIE GRAS and DUCK WITH ORANGE SAUCE. The terrine was missing a little bit of flavor but the duck was perfect! Give it a try!!!

This great French restaurant is part of the history of São Paulo. Unpretentious, yet chic, their food is excellent. Their wine list is also great and surprise, it is not expensive - great wines for all budgets. If you like steak tartare, be prepared for an amazing meal. Their other dishes are also well prepared and the point of their meat is always perfect. La Casserole also has a "to die for" private room available for events.

It was a table for 10. So I will be light on the time taken to serve the food, but a 3 hour lunch I thought it was a little too much. The food was great , but the sommelier needs an improvement. Before we ordered the wine it was asked how many bottles they had, and it was told us they have at least two bottles of the wine we choose. After the first bottle was over we asked to open another, but the sommelier said that was the last one. So we choose another wine, and the same thing happens again. We had to order 3 different wines, because there wasn't any knowledge of the quantity of wine they had in stock. Besides that, all the food were great. The 63 years of their existence shows on the floor and decoration. Haven't changed much in all that time. The linen napkins are still a classical, and so all the silverware. The desserts were amazing. I had the amuse bouche of chocolate desserts, consisting of 4 little samplers of theirs chocolate desserts (Chocolate cake with lime, merengue with Nutella gelato, chocolate mousse with whipped cream, and the last one was a profiteroles with pistachio sliced on top of it).
Had coffee, expresso, good quality, no need for sugar.

Prezado Ricardo,
Atenciosamente,
Equipe La Casserole

Everybody liked the fois gras, the cheese and most of their dishes: escargot, canard, trout, but I wasn't very lucky with my salad: very little green and too much roasted almond and walnut!
The dessert crepe was okay.
The place looks "traditional"
and our bill was quite high.

Hello Beatriz,
Thank you for your review.
We're sorry that the salad you ordered wasn't up to your expectations and - even though it's intended to be a starter and not main course -, we can assure that we will double-check and review our standards with the kitchen to ensure this won't happen again.
We're also happy to know that everyone else liked their dishes!
Regarding our prices, dinners with starters, main courses and desserts tend to result in a higher bill. We have indeed lowered desserts prices a bit over the last week, but overall our prices are pretty much even with those of similar restaurants.
We hope to see you again soon - we'll surely provide you a perfect meal in the next occasion.
Once again, thanks for your feedback.
Best regards,
La Casserole

Good things never vary. This restaurant has been going for so long and yet it is still very popular and excellent.
We were in 4 and everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was excellent and the surroundings wwith the fower market in front make it very special, The wines are a little on the "stiff" side but selection good.
