OK, it's opposite the beach, but, the rooms are very simple and the building needs some repairs. Doesn't have restaurant and room service to make some snack. They have a private parking, breakfast, air conditioner and a refrigerator inside the room. Very simple.

Had a great time in february 2014 at Cris Hotel.
Friendly staff and great breakfast.
No wi-fi in the room but want to relax anyway.
Location is everything. Just by joaquina beach. Definitely recommend!

Room tip: ask for see view if possible

Cris Hotel is located right next to the beach. You can hear the ocean waves crashing from your balcony doors when open. The hotel itself was clean but the furniture was rather spartan for our tastes, but for the price we were extremely happy with our stay! Internet, breakfast, and parking were all included which made us very happy. The front desk let us know up front that internet wouldn't work in our room, so we hung out downstairs in a large common room on the chairs & sofas. While the beach is quite busy during the day with surfers & beach lovers, the place goes very quiet at night. We spent time at the little bar/restaurant located next to the Hotel which stayed open until almost midnight. We would definitely stay again!

Room tip: The balcony doors open to let in the fresh air (Yay), but the outside lights are really bright facing the town square at night so we had to draw the curtains tight (bummer). Great listening to the ocean waves!

Located right at the Praia Joaquina. During the day the area is frequently visited by sun worshippers, after dark the place goes very quiet. There's really nothing to do, it's a half an hour walk to some bars, restaurants and shops. But if you like the sound of the ocean, you will love this place. The bus stops right in front of the hotel.

Unfortunately the hotel itself has seen better days. The rooms and communal areas are in need of some attention. Not everything works as it should, and impossible to keep the sand out when it's windy.

Breakfast is good with enough choice. We found the service quite nice too (the lady at the reception spoke some spanish and some english).

Room tip: Choose a room on an upper floor with a balcony overlooking the beach, especially the corner room.

The hotel is in a good location in the Joaquine Beach. Yet, it's far from the night actions. So at night, it's quiet but in the morning, lots of people come to the beach.

Cris hotel seems like one that has been shut down for a while and someone bought it and reopened. It's a nice building facing directly to the beach however, the hotel needs lots of improvements.

The rooms are old like from 70's. Balcony doors cannot be locked. Shower door is broken and needs to be lifted to close. Hand sink taps sprays water all over the place and they have cheap plastic outdoor furintures in the room and they are very black.

The hotel is filled with young travelers and feels like a hostel. The breakfast isn't bad. Wifi is extra so that's not good.

If Cris decided to sup up a little, it can easily be a great hotel. Just start with some paint jobs and change of furnitures.
