Located right at the Praia Joaquina. During the day the area is frequently visited by sun worshippers, after dark the place goes very quiet. There's really nothing to do, it's a half an hour walk to some bars, restaurants and shops. But if you like the sound of the ocean, you will love this place. The bus stops right in front of the hotel.

Unfortunately the hotel itself has seen better days. The rooms and communal areas are in need of some attention. Not everything works as it should, and impossible to keep the sand out when it's windy.

Breakfast is good with enough choice. We found the service quite nice too (the lady at the reception spoke some spanish and some english).

Room tip: Choose a room on an upper floor with a balcony overlooking the beach, especially the corner room.

The hotel is in a good location in the Joaquine Beach. Yet, it's far from the night actions. So at night, it's quiet but in the morning, lots of people come to the beach.

Cris hotel seems like one that has been shut down for a while and someone bought it and reopened. It's a nice building facing directly to the beach however, the hotel needs lots of improvements.

The rooms are old like from 70's. Balcony doors cannot be locked. Shower door is broken and needs to be lifted to close. Hand sink taps sprays water all over the place and they have cheap plastic outdoor furintures in the room and they are very black.

The hotel is filled with young travelers and feels like a hostel. The breakfast isn't bad. Wifi is extra so that's not good.

If Cris decided to sup up a little, it can easily be a great hotel. Just start with some paint jobs and change of furnitures.
