If it happens you are hungry and in downtown Rio, "Restaurante Damasco" may be a great option for an arabic lunch at mid-range prices. Reservations are a must, specially on Fridays, when many groups enjoy having lunch at "Restaurante Damasco", celebrating birthdays, on office commemorations or simply welcoming the upcoming weekend! I love its rice with lentils and crispy fried onions, as well as "quibes" (fried meat balls) and "baklava" (sweet pastry made of layers of filo, nuts and honey). Extremely cold Brazilian beer completes the scene. Bon Appétit!
