Stayed one night, good value if booked directly with hotel as some of my colleagues did who stayed on. Good breakfast with lots of choices available and very tasty too. Great lounge in the hotel lobby for relaxing with plenty of comfy seating and a valuable book with good simple info on Rio. Comfortable clean rooms, the only thing that annoyed me was the tiny lifts only big enough for 2 people and luggage so used the stairs when not transporting luggage. Good location in town and near the Flamengo metro.

Room tip: It is quieter the higher up you go.

What a great hotel in the Flamengo neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro. The hotel is simple but the price more than makes up for the simplicity and it's clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is typical Brazilian fare- hearty and delicious. Great restaurants and cafes near by. The beach is in walking distance and provides beautiful views over sugarloaf and the opportunity to mix it up with the locals.

Stayed during the Olympics. The staff speak limited English, but are very helpful. Rooms are a hit and miss as some are newly renovated and some are not. Good location if you want to visit Copacabana Beach, but far from the Olympic Park (Barra) and finally has a very good breakfast spread

Overall had a wonderful experience would highly recommend

Decent location in the Flamengo district, access to Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer weren't too long by taxi and the area felt pretty safe even at night. The rooms were fairly good but the biggest plus was the breakfast - having been travelling for months this was the best breakfast I've had so far!
