Description: Created in September 2004 by the chef Sormany Justen, the restaurant II Perugino - specializing in Italian cuisine - is recognized by Guia 4 Rodas as one of the country's best establishments. No wonder the house received for the fifth consecutive year, the star of the Guide. In addition, Il Perugino won the title of Best 8th Letter of Wines from Brazil in 2011. "We take care to offer, daily, new dishes and good wine options for our customers. All dishes are created by me. We change our menu two to three times a year," says Sormany boss. The attention in the preparation of meals and the unmistakable taste of Chef Sormany cuisine guaranteed in 2006, the title of best Petropolis restaurant. As a result of a perfect job, the chef has received invitations to consultants in Brazil and abroad. Sormany've been in Miami, Orlando, Victoria, Buzios, Sao Paulo, Volta Redonda and Mato Grosso. With extensive experience in developing menus, Sormany created the 30 options that the house offers and every day presents three to four choices of specials. Customers also have at their disposal tasting menu, with three, four and five dishes, plus the Confiance menu, which is a surprise offered by the chef for customers. The Italian seasoning and care to use spices and organic vegetables in dishes are popular with discerning palates. Among the specialties of the restaurant Il Perugino are: the lombata of bue (grilled prime rib), noque shrimp with fonduta cheese, mozzarella ravioli and the orientale salmon.

I have been in this excellent restaurant many times for the last ten years. And it has always kept its consistent excellent quality of the food. Nice service, comfortable and simple premises, traditional italian dishes, nice desserts. A must go for those who are inPetropolis and its surroundings.

I must say that is the best italian restaurant of the region and even one of the best of the state. Great pasta and also great meat. Fantastic wine list and service. Don't miss it.

Classical, well-known address in the region for Italian food.
The place is OK, although I wouldn’t rate it as one of the most comfortable restaurants in town.
I was there a long ago for dinner and it was cold. Now we went for lunch and it was too hot.
Dishes are nice, tasty and portions are generous, but in my opinion it is not a great option for a mid-week business lunch. I would expect them to offer an easy menu for such occasions.

The place is unpretentious but okay by all standards. Beautiful wine lists (from French to Spanish to Argentinean wines ... of the best)!!! On the other hand, the food is at most below average... I had Spaghettis Bolognesa, which tasted like everything but Spaghettis Bolognesas (too many herbs and other unidentified ingredients that changed the whole tradition of Spaghettis bolognesa!). My friends had risotto with lamb and risotto with beef... nothing special, the risotto as at most okay - the only difference between those risottos were the sauce... The apetizers were disappointing as well (4 people - only 2 pieces of bread.... not only do you have to request the waiter for more bread, but you have to pay for it...).... well I won't go back and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone... There are many others in Itaipava much better!! In addition, quite expensive for what it is... Any small and modest italian restaurants would serve better food.

I became a frequent guest in this restaurant which is for me the best Italian restaurant in town! Ask for off menu suggestion... Premim Rib (Lombata) is outstanding!
