So much enjoyed our day with michael
We visited deserted beaches to swim
He provides water and snacks
Kayaks are sturdy and have rudders to steer
Michael keeps the pace so no one is left behind
A terrific sense of humor and nice that he speaks the kings english

My girlfriend and I visited Paraty for 5 days to relax and be adventuress.
Paraty Explorer were our choice guides and they didn’t disappoint!
Rodrigo our kayaking expert gave us a thorough tour of the bays and beaches and a lovely paddle through the mangroves - highly recommend!
Not only that, but he was also able to arrange other tours for us, which made life much easier and helped us enjoy our vacation stress free.
The walking tours were both excellent and informative. The boat tour was fun and relaxing, we visited several sites, swam with the fish strolled down quite beaches and ate a tasty seafood lunch washed down with a delicious mango cocktail served up by our captain.
Nice chaps, very helpful and great tour guides.

Booked this trip through one of the local travel agents. The outfit is run by Mike Smyth ( originally from the UK) and he has excellent equipment. This trip is quite energetic as we were on the water for over 4 hours and went about 14 k around wonderful coves and through the mangroves that line this part of the bay. He will take you as fast or as slowly as the group can manage and varied the itinerary accordingly . ( we therefore also saw a local fishing village on one of the islands). It's really beautiful as you see the vegetation from the Atlantic Rainforest meeting the waters edge and there were egrets , herons and frigate birds everywhere. We stopped off at two beaches for a swim and a snack. Water and dry bags were provided and excellent instructions given.
We were only 3 guests but he can take up to 12 people kayaking.
Highly recommended trip for the adventurous and energetic !!

We did an amazing hike as a small group to the village Ponta Negra with Rodrigo (and Michael for some of the journey) Excellent guides - highly knowledgeable and friendly throughout - they went out of their way to provide extra tips for our stay in Brazil... they really know good food!

The hike itself was beautiful - we spent time in the rainforest and on completely deserted beaches (it was particularly amazing to jump in the sea after a few hours in the humidity). Ponta Negra had only just received electricity a few days before our arrival.. so it does feel remote. This is a good thing - the area is very local, quiet and beautiful... We swam in a waterfall with hummingbirds above our heads!

We enjoyed all of the food - Delicious squid for dinner (caught that morning by the local fishermen) and a filling breakfast with fruits, bread and cheese. The accommodation was also very comfortable and clean. After the hike we all slept very well!

Due to a turn in weather we could not continue out hike on the 2nd day, but Rodrigo ensured that we returned to Paraty safely by boat... and he had an excellent restaurant recommendation for lunch.

I can't recommend these guys enough - they really go out of their way to help you get the most out of their trip and the rest of your stay in Brazil... I wish I could do it again!
