We came here after the two hour ferry ride from Victoria. It was fast, and huge portions. Food wasn't specatcular but good enough.

The quality of food has really gone downhill since my last review of this place. My wife had the Quesadilla Agave (chicken). The chicken appeared to have been ground and had the texture of cardboard. With the greasy melted cheese, it was an almost inedible combination. I had the Agave Wet Beggie Burrito. It was OK... a bit greasy, but edible. The chips were a bit stale and the salsa provided (with large pieces of onion) has got to win the prize of the worse salsa in town. Never again.
Good food - and popular- long line at lunch time. Order at the window- and they will bring you your chips. Good sides and condiments.
We regularly get dinner on the way home from the islands here. Very tasty and lovely people. Beer by the bottle, too.
The Agave Tacueria is a perfectly adequate place to purchase Mexican food. We visited for a dinner and were rewarded with large portions of good food for a reasonable price. This was not the best Mexican food I have ever had, but no fault could be found. It is of interest that the majority of their business is take out, at least that was our impression as we watched while we ate. The dining room is simple and colorful and the fact that it is a remodeled garage is amusing. For what it is and what you pay for dinner in this tourist town, it is fine. But don't expect it to be spectacular.
