Description: At Copperwood Tavern we aim to give our customers an enjoyable and memorable dining experience. We chose to be a Farm-to-Table restaurant because it represents the freshest product available. We take pride in offering the freshest quality dishes by serving locally sourced meats, seafood, and produce. We are supporting the local farmers and economy and it's our passion to teach people how much better fresh and natural food can be. Copperwood Tavern offers 20 draft beers, 30 small-batch whiskeys, and a superb wine selection. Our 30-foot craft bar is also stocked with southern Virginia's white whiskey. Yes, we mean moonshine! Since a woodsy retreat wouldn't be complete without a loyal hunting companion, we encourage you to bring Fido along. Copperwood Tavern features a dog-friendly patio with custom copper dog bowls.

We visited the restaurant for brunch on new years day. It was busy but not too laude. We loved the free popcorn and god more when we asked for it. The service was very accommodating to our requests. The food was tasty, but nothing really stood out except for the cocktails. A good place to go for brunch with friends in a friendly environment.

The village of shirlington, where the restaurant is located, is a village of eateries, from fast casual to sit down. There is a built in clientele given the movie theater and an abundance of restaurant choices. Copperwood is ok. It's like an upgraded Teds Montana grill, with a faux western, maybe Colorado, inspired decor.
The wine, beer and cocktail list is adequate. The food was fine- no surprises and nothing really stood out. It's a safe place for a salad, burger and a beer.

We would return just for the popcorn- which they give at the bar- it was the perfect mix of salt and other spices. Copperwood is a farm to table restaurant with incredibly delicious food. They also serve inventive flavors of moonshine and other mixed drinks.

We ate short ribs, clam chowder, fried green tomatoes and duck eggs. All were fantastic! Can’t wait for a return visit to try other dishes.

First time at Copperwood, a farm to table restaurant in Arlington. While the place was full on a Wednesday night we were still able to hold a conversation -- well when we weren't eating our delightful meal.

Lisa seated us. I asked her what was her favorite dish. Without hesitation she responded, Steak and Brussels salad substitute the blue cheese for fried cheese. She described the subtle and complementary flavors and textures. You could tell that she was reliving the times she had eaten that very dish. For food lovers, there is no better recommendation. We both ordered the salad. It was fabulous! Perfectly prepared. Highly, highly recommend. Paired mine with a light pinot gris. The muffins were a tasty treat as well.

I expected a rustic food experience to fit the décor -- instead, I was pleasantly surprised at the elegance of the plating and the nuance of the flavors - the duck breast was a beautiful dish, cooked medium rare as requested, over a squash puree - and the flavors blended to perfection. All of the other dishes among the 5 of us were similarly excellent, and we were very happy with the food. The service was fine, very pleasant. The range of quality of wines by the glass could be improved, but the Zin and Malbec were adequate.
