I was taken to Mortons for a birthday dinner. The meat was well prepared and side dishes of hash browns and asparagus were really good. Not happy with the ambiance. We all felt that the lights were simply too low and the walls were dark making the place feel closed in. The dinner was good, but not great, and it was expensive. Plan on spending about $100 plus per person. We may return but there are other competitive steak houses that we think have more pleasant environment and better value.

It was an early 6:15 reservation, the restaurant was not completely full. It took forever for every order to come out to us. The baked potato was cold. The chocolate soufflé had no chocolate in it. Where was the decadent chocolate insides?? Left in the kitchen. The response was next time we will put extra chocolate in it for you. How about putting it in there to begin with! They took it off the bill. No we will not go back. The excuse was that the kitchen was so busy and it was a little chaotic. Not at all. There were many tables still empty. So disappointing for a restaurant with a great reputation for such high quality food. Over two hours from sit down to finally leaving. Terrible!
The bacon steak was good. But not enough to bring me back.

Painful in many ways.
1. Four hours to be served a three course meal. Count 'em, four.
2. Food was highly mediocre. Meats not prepared to specified degree of doneness. Perhaps could have sent them back but then it would have been a five hour meal. The sides were just not up to snuff. Salads with brown lettuce. Undercooked baked potato.
One of the meats, a "cajun ribeye" think it was, had a full 1/4 inch of seasoning on top. Even after scraping it off the steak was somewhat ballistic.
3. Service was quite spotty. Servers showed up when there was food to be delivered, rarely in the large gaps in between when refills of water, bread etc. were needed.
4. Wine list markup absurd ... I would guess at least 400%
5. All this at extremely high prices. I have eaten at other Morton's, also expensive, but at least a very good meal. This was so very disappointing.

Usually our go to steak house when in the area. Food is fantastic but the service was non existent - bartender couldn’t make a simple martini with a twist, mine came with a lemon wedge that had been squeezed into martini making it bitter. When the waiter took it back they removed said wedge, sliced and returned.

Could not find wait staff to place order; could not find staff for 2nd bottle of wine; could not find staff for bill. Asked front reception to help with cab which was an inconvenience. Thinking twice about using this establishment for client dinners.
