My roommate and I lived in the cottage for five months during the legislative session. Everything about the property is perfect. The location is unbeatable. We walked to the Capitol and 6th Street, it took no more than ten minutes of jogging to get to Town Lake, and Galaxy and Cafe Medici are classic, comfortable neighborhood hangouts. Brian addressed every issue we had the same day that we contacted him. He personally fixed the problem, or had someone come to the house immediately. Parking was never a problem. The cottage has its own driveway, which fits one car, and there was always a handful of free spots on the street. The cottage has it all: fast, free wifi, a washer and dryer, all kitchen appliances, etc. Moreover, Brian is a genuine person and takes pride in making the property feel like home.

We stayed in this beautiful cottage last October when visiting Austin from the UK and were so pleased with the accomadation that when we booked to return to Austin again this October we knew instantly that we wanted to stay in the cottage again. The cottage is full of charm and character but also has all of the essentials that you require to make your stay comfortable including air con, wifi and comfortable quality bedding. Location wise, you couldn't get better. It's set in a quiet neighbourhood but within walking distance to local bars, restaurants and grocery stores and only a short car ride away from down town Austin/Zilker park (for ACL). During our stay there, we felt like we were really experiencing the true culture of such an amazing city with the friendly neighbours greeting us and sitting out on the verendah watching the Texan world go by ! Our host Brian, communicated with us throughout our booking, providing us with information to enhance our holiday experience and gave us every confidence that if we had needed anything he would have helped. We look forward very much to returning in October.
Have actually stayed here twice. Both times were excellent.
Location is fantastic just outside the heart of downtown Austin. A spirited walk or cheap Uber ride to everything, especially the unbelievable bar, food, and music scene there. Plus, the Mexican place on the corner (Zocolo or something) is outstanding.
Cottage is beautiful, cozy and ridiculously charming, with everything we wanted. Comfy beds, clean, wifi, great kitchen, nice living room area, laundry, and parking. But best of all, it is perfectly unique and quirky, just like Austin. After staying here, I don't think I could ever stay in a hotel in Austin again.
Perfect stays both times. I'd live there if I could.
