“Superb Villa! Superb owners! And Superb managment company!”

All 7 of us absolutely loved Villa Leila ! Very spacious and clean . Lovely decor. The pool is outstanding, crystal clear and sparkling clean. Thank you Tess and Chris for our wonderful stay and a massive thank you to Sally at the property management company who facilitated eveything for us with extreme ease, she sorted out airport transport for us and made sure the villa was tip top for us when we arrived. We have no complaints whatsoever about the villa ! If your thinking of staying here then definitly go for it!

Some advice -

Buy your food/supplies from the supermarkets on attaturk st as they are 3 times cheaper then elswhere

Also the restaurants are much cheaper on attaturk st then elsewhere especially the sea front (its where u find the locals eating) however the quality is not as good as the more expensive restaurants.

Dominoes pizza on attartuk st will delvier to villa leila so google there phone number as going down to get food everyday is not an easy task

Never go to the fruit and veg stalls in the main city centre as they will rip you off! . Go to the stall on you guessed it attarturk st they dont rip you off

Also swimming stuff you need or slippers etc buy on attatrturk st half the price of in the city centre.

If you do go into the city to shop then make sure to haggle as they smell tourists from a mile away

Dont be put off by the constant stares of the turkish people as we found out it is acceptable in there culture

Make sure you have a mobile phone with internet data , in the airport you can get a turkish sim with 4 gb and lots of mins for 150 lira ( around £25) it will be enough for you to use google maps which is very helpful in navigating your way around and showing the taxi drivers the way to the villa, also you will be able to browse the net check your emails etc but not stream movies as that will quickly use up your data .

The hills up to the villa are extremely steep and i reccomend mantasir taxis (there phone number is on the fridge) but make sure you are completely ready and waiting outside as they come within 30 seconds of calling there office.

Download google translate as not many people in this side of bodrum speak english and you will find it extremely helpful.

Have a great holiday and hope you all enjoy your holiday and the lovely Villa Leila!

Had a great stay, We were a party of 5 and our age range was 50 to 64.
We had a great time, The villa was as expected,it was clean, basic, and functional . When a problem arouse we contacted the management team and with in a hour they were there and sorted it out,
The walk up and down the hills was a great workout.
If I was to return to Bodrum,I would stay here again. My only criticism there is not enough sunloungers and umbrellas for a party of 4 or more

Thanks for the great review. We would love to see you again. Will look into more umbrellas... sun loungers we should have plenty on the roof and different patios offering a selection and variety of position. Will be sure to confirm they are all there. Very best wishes

“Lovely Villa with spectacular sunsets from three terraces walking distance from Bodrum town”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Villa Leila is situated on the correct side of Bodrum City to enjoy the most spectacular sunsets over the town from one of three vantage points in the detached villa. We loved the ground level with kitchen opening onto the pool. The kitchen was very well equipped which we really appreciated. The two bedrooms on this floor were a weak point of the rental. They are two separate singles both without aircon and one without a window too. We were lucky enough to only need to use one as we were four adults and left the window to the kitchen-diner open with the aircon on at night (both rooms have no external windows or air con) It worked well enough and had the advantage of being cool and dark for a good sleep. The pool was wonderful - clean and a perfect temperature to remain refreshing without taking your breath away when you jump in! There was no shade at all by the pool so we brought the villa a gift of a brolly and that made all the difference as we were there in the height of the July sun. Likewise we brought beach towels as a villa gift The washing machine shower and downstairs loo were very handy for the pool and all functioned well. The middle floor has two double bedrooms and a shared bathroom with shower over bath. We had four adults and no problems with having enough hot water whenever we wanted it. One negative comment (and I appreciate this may be very personal taste) was that whilst the rooms had lovely white local "curtains" they offered absolutely no barrier against an early sun. Just remember to pack your eye- masks and you will be fine! Clamber up the stairs to the roof terrace and enjoy your sun downers with a spectacular view and sunset. The hill down to town is steep, and only for the uber keen on the way home but about 200 yds from the Villa there is a taxi rank at the Hotel, so we toddled down there and picked up a cab and on the way home used that as a landmark to get a taxi back from town then honed our pigeon Turkish to direct them the last bit to the villa. They had us fleunt by the end of the week! Its very cheap and we never had to wait. They even came to the villa to collect us if we wished and waited outside the supermarket while we dashed in and bought the heavier supplies - wonderful people. We hired a boat called "Mars" go and find the excellent English speak captain along the harbour edge and deal direct with him and it will be 200 TL cheaper than going through the co-operative at the little stands. His knows his stuff and took us to some beautiful coves to snorkel and provided a splendid lunch and afternoon tea and we were out from 09.30 to 17.00 for 1000TL worth every penny for a private hire. He in turn recommended Korfez Restaurant (on the promenade heading towards the yacht club) and we enjoyed lovely local fish and other goodies. We had a couple of nights eating on the roof terrace at the yacht club which was great. We also ate the Spanish restaurant Le Pasion just to mix things up a bit which was great fun. We enjoyed a great day at Hotel Macakizi - very smart with the most fantastic Turkish bath and spa, great vibe, all very cool, smart and trendy for a special day out. again no problem getting a taxi to and from. We did lots water sports and lazed around on the water from all day sipping on mocktails and champagne breaking only for an excellent lunch (although watch out for the buffet, I thought it was overpriced - stick to the a la carte especially if you are not a big eater) . Bliss. In summary we only have one negative to report about our holiday and that was that we struggled without Wi-Fi in the villa. We bought a Turkish sim card for one of the guest's iPad for £30, otherwise to research any days out restaurants etc was difficult and I depend on my email for business and ended up with an unspeakably high bill. We became regulars at the many bars that have free Wi-Fi but it would really enhance the villa and I am sure, like me, guests would will willingly pay a fee for the convenience . We loved our first trip to Turkey. The people, the hospitality, the spotless cleanliness, the food and Villa Leila as a base. We will be back.

Sounds like you had a lovely holiday. We would love to offer a wifi service and at no extra cost but it has been proving difficult to get as we are not residents! However things change fast in Bodrum, so as soon as we can we will set this up. Will keep trying :)

“A true Turkish Delight!”

We had read the previous reviews and detailed Villa description so had high expectations of this lovely Villa. Villa Leila delivered for us everything it promised and more. Rested, recharged and so thankful for such a wonderful break in an idyllic location. The villa is gorgeous, so big for our family of 5 that we all had our own little areas to chill, The pool is a great size and adds a touch of luxury being private! We walked into Bodrum (there and back!) most days though succumbed to the taxi when grocery shopping. The hill is do - able and we all coped well . The Turkish people were delightful, so friendly and generous of spirit. I think we may return! Happy customers all round!
