Who Is Missing Kuey Teow As Much As We Do?

First off, this is a review on their food delivery. Not dine-in nor stay.

Service: Interestingly, we contacted them via WhatsApp to place an order but was told that 24 hours advance notice was required which is common. When we tried to order for the next day, we were told to place the order through the website. Then comes the interesting part which is if you order on food panda, it arrives within 30 mins - 45 mins.

Packing: Arrived in a regular looking brown paper bag with a unique looking plastic container which is the only thing that probably tells them apart from your regular food delivery.

Char Kuey Teow (RM22)

Taste: The portion was pretty sizeable for the price you pay and sat on top of a banana leaf. The prawns and squids fresh and crunchy and pretty delicious in the Kuey Teow but lacked the wok hei flavour. It would also have been a nice touch if the prawns had been deveined. Last but not least, we loved the fact that it arrived piping hot as though it came straight from the kitchen!

Price: Very reasonably priced and a pretty generous portion

All in all, it was pretty tasty and definitely value for money. Could have been better, very overall reasonable

I bought the room night during the flash sales and didn't realized it was during Mother's day weekend. I had a great time relaxing and good time with my son during this 2 days one night stay. Even though we were not able to enjoy the rest of the facilities due to MCO but we did had a relaxing time. We enjoyed the room service breakfast and it was a good experience for me. The food was good.

Hello Shangri-La KL,

I am pleased to inform you that me and my family were very satisfied with your service and care - been staying here more than 3 times and even bringing my whole family members to experience it.

Here to summarize:
Room: very clean and comfortable - housekeeping very prompt to respond to anything when needed.
Kid's activities: proper and well organized our kids love it - thanks Marsy and team.
Food: most of our time were in Club Lounge and the food there is delicious - from breakfast till evening cocktail.
Staff: they all always go above and beyond.
Pool/Gym: big/spacious, fully equipped, and hygiene.

Special thanks to Yune (Zainon) from Horizon Club Lounge, which been very accommodating and much entertained. Thanks Yune you deserve an award :)

Not to forget, Pat, Yati, Kristine, Prem, and everyone from Horizon Club Lounge - thank you very much.

This hotel strictly complied with the latest C19 SOP thus our family felt very safe and confident.

Be sure that we will be back again soon and YES - I highly recommend this hotel for everyone out there.

This is my second stay at SLKL and we had a family suite for this round. We checked early at 11am and they got us the room ready but without the kids tent. The reception told us that the tent will be setup at 8pm (which was true enough, they came sharp at 8pm!)

Family suite comes with snacks for kids and fruits platter, which they sent it to our room upon check in. The extra rollaway bed which we requested via email had been setup promptly too.

Our room is located at the top floor with a magnificent KL Tower view and had no problem waiting for elevator.

Since we have 2 kids (8 & 10 years old), we have requested to join their family activities via the email. The person in-charge Ms Marsy had done a very good job here. She sent us registration via email 2 days before our check in, but we only managed to register for the cooking class and as a waiting list for other activities. As in waiting list, meaning we wait for their calls if there are availability, which they did called us 30 minutes before the activities.

Overall, we really enjoyed the kids activities and kudos to the team who handled it professionally.

We visited the Horizon Club for afternoon/evening tea and breakfast. Probably due to school holiday week, the lounge is. crowded and due to SOP, the food and beverages were only served by their staff. No self service.

Though I always appreciate the high level service from Shangri-La, here I would like to highlight for the lounge service. Since it was crowded, it was obvious that there were not enough staff to serve around. My 8yo son and another boy who waited in the line was cut queue by an adult who was behind them because the staff couldn't see them. Kids being kids, were innocent enough to just wait for their turn but sadly, not being noticed. And it's a shame to that man. However this could be prevented if there are more staff around to assist.

Overall, we enjoyed our staycation and appreciate the high service level of a 5-star hotel who communicate effectively from the booking, emails and front desk.

Stayed here for 2 nights in their executive suite which comes which lounge access.

Room:
- spacious and we especially liked the separate working area as well as the suite having a separate toilet next to the working area
- nice toiletries provided ie loccitane
- coffee machine is provided
- deco is a little dated
- bed is a little small but they did provide a rollaway bed outside in the living area

Pool:
- we liked that the pool was deep enough for actual swimming, my kids enjoyed it too
- pool towels are one of the nicest we’ve tried, wipes well and is thick
- the tall surrounding buildings blocked the afternoon sun from the pool which is a plus point for us asians!

Meals:
- breakfast at lemon garden never fails to satisfy!
- in room dining had a wide selection of food including children’s menu

Kids activities:
- lotsa kids activities during weekends
- fish feeding available once a day

Staff:
- friendly

Location:
- conveniently located at the heart of the city center
- shuttle services are available till 5pm
