If someone will to tell me he is going to Lim Kee, I would probably think he is going to have a plate of chicken rice or a bowl of wanton noodle. Absolutely wrong !

Lim Kee is actually a very modern hipster kind of café manned by a group of very young people. I see more such café-like places popping in KL every time I visit.

Located at Jalan Sultan inside Ting Jing Hotel, the décor is not too heavily decorated but in good taste. When I step in, it gives me a kind of feeling of being in a modernized old school kopitiam with its rattan chairs and tables. Basically, this place is for drinks and desserts.

Latte at MYR9 is very smooth. The fragrance of the bean is lovely. Daughter ordered the Iced Matcha at MYR11. Since we were on vacations, we would just ignore the calories and forward to order the Burnt Cheesecake (MYR15) and Coffee Cheesecake (MYR14).

The Burnt Cheesecake is light and fluffy and goes well with my latte. Coffee Cheesecake, as expected, has the bitterness in the taste.

Judging from the crowd, this is an upcoming café in the Chinatown area. Price is reasonable. Hope the consistency is maintained as they grow bigger.

After wandering by, disappointed with the previous food ventures of the day, I noticed a slice of something interesting in the shop window.

Wish I could remember the name, but it turned out to be a divine slice of creamy tofu mousse upon a purple sticky rice base, with a baby pipette of gula melaka syrup stuck in the top for good measure.

Happy to see something fresh and inventive in a world full of buttercream laden cakes. Not sure if it's suitable for vegans but I was informed that it contained no milk or butter, and I am pretty sure it contained no eggs either.

Would have been great if they offered soy milk or another dairy alternative in their drinks, as I probably would have sat in with coffee and ordered another slice!

A nice, cozy, modern version of a Chinese style kopitiam .. stop over for coffee & cakes .. limited menu, but good option of soft boiled eggs & roti bakar for breakfast .. enjoyed this quaint & cosy cafe .. hope they expand the menu to inclde some savouries & asian favourites ..

It’s a attached with Tian Jing Hotel. The cafe consists roughly 4 tables so first come first served. I personally adore their cakes (unique flavor) and juices. Coffee also not bad and it’s considered quiet as it’s not pack with people.

It’s about 5-8mins walk from Pasar Seni MRT station and 10mins walk from Pasar Seni PutraLRT Station.

Their service is good, new and clean toilets. They don’t serve hot food.
