This extremely nice hotel conveniently abuts the Kyoto train station, a minute or two away by foot. It is well maintained, clean, and modern with a watchful, pleasant, polite staff, some who speak English.
The lobby has a check-in area and concierge service as well as rest rooms and a buffet style restaurant with a very nice selection of Japanese and Western foods. Our room was clean and equipped with tea, coffee, electric kettle, refrigerator, AC, dehumidifier, two double beds, a small bathroom with a large picture window which thankfully has a blind. Our room faced the tracks of the train station where we could view bullet trains, regular type trains, and street traffic. There was very little sound that we could hear from these trains and traffic, (We were on the sixth floor.) The rooms surround an open space in the interior that overlooks the lobby. Toiletries are provided.
My disappoinment is that there is no pool or fitness center which was quite surprising. Not sure if installation of these might be part of renovations. Call, email, or check web sites for rates and current happenings.More
