Visited here with a tour group. It was extremely hot on the day so take an umbrella and plenty of water. There is an interesting history so it may pay to have a guide otherwise its just a large defensive wall with buildings on top.

We managed to stay at a hotel just by the south gate and we could site onthe roof deck looking at people walking the wall, they in turn were taking photos of us sitting there with a beer in hand. ?? Who was looking at who?? good fun

These are pretty impressive. Excellent shape and if you take the time you can imagine how difficult it would have been to overcome these walls. Wish we weren't so tired at the time - would have liked to ride the bikes around the entire wall

This is a nice place to take a walk or ride a bike. It provides a nice view of Xian from its various sides. I rated it a 3 but our teen enjoyed enjoyed the walk a lot and rated it 4 stars. There is also a large building that you can visit but it was already closed when we were there so not sure what is inside.

While visiting Xian, you might as well experience going up the wall and absorb the sentiment from thousands of years of history that made China what it is today. This was the first official capital and the birth place of the Silk Road. The sheer massive structure is just amazing as it stands strong even today. Don't miss a spectacular view of the entire city.
