I live in another island (Negros Occidental) so when I come to Manila or Makati, which is maybe once or twice a year, I always like to shop at the Ayala mall. I love to go to Rustan’s as I can always find something to buy there , esp items from the USA that I can’t buy anywhere else. Love their children’s clothes and I always find something to buy for my granddaughter. You can also find fabric stores, furniture stores, good restaurants and just overall, stores with quality merchandise.

I happened to visit the site after a number of years when the newly renovated gloieta with the quad facade was still visible and the surrounding commercial center structure were still around and I find the place really such a wonderful place but now it's so different it's such a lonely and dull place inspire of the new building that were built there I wonder why?

The area is the center for hotels, restaurants, shopping ,souveniers. Hotels have restaurants and nightclubs. Easily accessible day or night. Streets surrounding Ayala center have many different ethnic restaurants from Filipino, Italian, Chinese, Thai to hamburgers and pizza. Shops have everything from clothing to unmentionables.
