This was the best 2 weeks in Mauritius. We had a sea view room which is across the road from the beach and the balcony let's you soak in the atmosphere of Island living. The room (apartment) is very spacious with combined living, dining including fridge and microwave and separate ensuite bedroom which is located away from the main road for total peace and quiet. All staff are very helpful and make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. The air-conditioning in the living room was working whilst the bedroom was faulty. When we spoke to Lavinia at reception, she was super efficient organising onsite maintenance and then a repair technician to investigate. Needing a new unit, the on site director - Fawzia had the authority to order an immediate replacement and that kept us cool overnight. Akash, Ajay, Ajmeer and especially Lakshana made this stay so special, we will remember you guys for a long time, not forgetting housekeeping who gave us a clean fresh room everyday. Hopefully we will get to meet you all the next time we are in Mauritius. Thanks for making it special.

Seavilla is a pretty decent hotel in a good location. We got an upgrade to an apartment suite, which was very lovely, with a balcony over the pool and then also another one looking out over the mountains.

The staff were welcoming and explained the hotels amenities.

I know its not the most important thing, but the wifi of the hotel was limited to the reception area. It meant that looking for ideas and planning the next day was a bit of a faff, it also meant that the reception was often crowded with people doing the same thing.

We were staying in the Northern part of Mauritius and decided that we would work our way down so we looked at staying at Flic en Flac for a few nights. Well this is when it all started.
We drove through to Flic en Flac to look for a hotel and discovered Sea Villa Mauritius.
They said they had accommodation for us but could we pay a deposit to secure the room for when we would return on our booked nights. They took a deposit off my credit card and everything was booked and secured.

On the day we checked in we were helped to our room, within the first 5 minutes we realized that this was not going to work as the neighbor next to the hotel was playing music at full volume. I went to reception and they advised me that other guest had left due to the same issue. i advised the that we are here to rest and that we would like to check out.

Upon Checking out they advised me that they will pay me back my deposit but not via my Credit Card but into my current account and this can only be done in a week. As we thought we can trust them i agreed.
Well, it is now over a month later and they are using every excuse in the book as to why they cannot refund my money, blaming the banks etc. Now its at the stage that they don't even respond to my email.

BE CAREFUL.when dealing with this Hotel

We had a great week in a two-room flat, overlooking the ocean from the kitchenette and a little balcony. The beach right in front of the hotel is good for swimming, jogging and sunsets. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings, except for Friday night, when we could hear loud music from a place behind the hotel. Shops and restaurants were in walking distance, but to see the fantastic landscapes inland, we needed our little hired car. The staff were nice and helpful.

I enjoyed the proximity of this hotel to all the food spots and most of all the beach is across the road. Within 1km walk you can access a cash exchange, and various restaurants including food trucks during the day. I would not advise the continental breakfast at 7 euro per person it was not worth it. The pool is awesome to chill in and the rooms were clean and spacious. living area space was comfortable and the little balcony facing the road made for a nice view of the sunset, if you were not on the beach itself. nice little kitchen with fridge and microwave . Staff were helpful and friendly. My only concern was that the ensuite bathroom had no door...

Room tip: t the road traffic is quite loud in the rooms facing the beach, The inner rooms will have no view but be quieter
