Can't go wrong with a stop at one of their many outlets for snacks to take home from Penang. The tausar biscuits are really good value with a 32 piece box priced like 20% above what other places charge for 16. Great range of products and something hard to find elsewhere - really helpful staff who are not pushy and know their products very well.

Wide range of products for selection (should be at least over 50 types of native products). Excellent money-to-value as I spent only about RM150 to get more than 20 items. The tambun biscuit is HALAL, so giving away to Malay friends will not be an issue. Loves the tambun biscuit and pastry very much~~ They even selling certain product which is vegan to customer. I also have my first try on "Freeze Dried Durian" which i would highly recommend for all durian and snacks lovers.

I am a Chinese Muslims and it is marvellous to me that the green bean pastries here is halal. They have many kinds of other flavours and products. They are cheap and service are good. Many outlets in Penang. I bought many their goodies to my families, in-laws, and colleagues.
The only thing is I hope they have sealed packaging, in case my friends and relatives do not eat right always after I have gave to them.

We stumbled upon this place as it was close to our accommodation and one of the few restaurants that's opened in between lunch and dinner services. Their cafe was upstairs, and it was clean, nice, cool and airy with board/card games where you can sit as long as you want and nobody would bother you. We ordered the assam laksa, char kuey teow (stir fry flat noodles with shrimp), and the curry mee. Everything was very delicious! The assam laksa was full of toppings and the broth was rich and delicious. The char kuey teow was surprisingly really good as well. Very unsuspecting for a cafe inside a pastry shop! After lunch and many games of Uno, we went down to the pastry shop for souvenirs. They have tasters for everything so you know what it tastes like before buying. Try the wide array of durian products they have - especially for first timers, if you don't want to be overwhelmed by the actual fruit itself ;-). The staff is also friendly.
