People have confused the identity and location of this Nasi Vanggey on Jalan Labrooy with the Nasi Ganja on Jalan Kalsom. They are about 4 km apart on different side of Ipoh Town.
Their food presentations and tastes are also different. I like NGanja curry combination but find their chicken dry. I find Vanggey’s chicken moist inside and crunchy outside. Also Vanggey is cleaner and visually more pleasing.
We were 7. We had lots of rice and chicken, shrimps and calamari and two rounds of drinks each. It came to RM15 per person. Especially tasty is the coconut chutney. We left fully satisfied with the food, service and price. We will come again another time.
