Went there for lunch, the window dressing with plates of chicken looked good, however, when the plate came and knowing we are tourist, they gave us a plate of mixed and leftover pieces of chicken. Some of the chicken was light in colour and some were dark, when we complained, the boss lady gave us a long story about some chicken been allowed to feed more etc. When we were paying, we told the waiter about the mixed and leftover piece of chicken from various plates, he did not deny it and just looked the other way,
Would not recommend this place who will take advantage of tourist.

My friend's mum will always bring me to this restaurant whenever i visit ipoh. They told me this is the local favourites. Especially with so many shops on the same street, it can get confusing for a tourist.

Fab food but the setting is bot the best. Try only if you value good food over atmosphere!

We tried the bean sprout chicken during our stay in Ipoh. It was better than expected. The shop opposite Lou Wong is non-air on and the shop next to Lou Wong is air-conditioned. Price for a set of steam chicken, bean sprouts and a bowl of rice noodles costs $15.90. The right place for bean sprout chicken. Also try the meat ball soup at RM 5....very tasty and nice.

Forget about eating at a local stall at Cowan at 44 Jon Ezkram. It was over-rated, not very hygienic and expensive.
Although Cowan is frequented by many locals, service is painfully slow and poor. For the same set, it is RM 21.

The food taste fine, nothing to complain about. It's the cleanliness of this restaurant that irks me. The waiters don't seem to look clean as well. Savor the food but turn a blind eye to the surrounding when dining here.

A must if you are visiting Ipoh! This place kicks butt.

The chicken is so tender and seasoned to perfection. The hor fun dry or soup is so smooth in texture. I really like the soupy version but that’s just preference. The quality of hor fun is first class. The bean sprouts are fat and fresh. So unlike the anorexic ones at home.

Simple fare but so satisfying. Thumbs up!
