Beautiful setting, you're literally in the sea the restaurant is built on a rock. It is adjacent to Port Byblos. You can't go wrong with the fresh grilled calamars :)

We stoped here after an exhausting visit to wonderful Byblos. We needed a place to have lunch and rest for a while which we could do. Lunch was very reasonable and then we could swim right by the restaurant. The entire experience was great. To be repeated.

Lunch started with the usual tabbouleh and fattouch as well as cold mezze such as, hommos, moutabbal, nayye combo and chanklish. The salads were nicely prepared, the ingredients in the tabbouleh finely chopped and the fattouch served with debs el remmen dressing and sprinkled with sumac. The nayye (raw meat) combo looked too beautiful to eat, but that didn’t last long as we dug into it and enjoyed every bite.

The hummus was excellent, creamy and beautifully presented with chickpeas, pine nuts and parsley. Moutabbal was also very good and is served with pomegranate seeds and walnuts. The hot mezze landed next, Mekanek, poulpes provencales, poisson au soja, crevettes sauce rouge, rekakat jebneh and french fries. Rkakat were warm with the melted cheese making them enjoyable with every bite.

Poulpes provencales, a truly amazing dish. Definitely recommended. The poisson au soja is served ready to eat, no need to get your hands dirty. The fish was delectable and perfectly cooked, the sauce was not overwhelming. The marinated shrimps in red sauce were also enjoyable. For the main platters we were treated to grilled jumbo shrimps and a selection of fried fish. No surprise, the grilled shrimps were wiped out within minutes.

The fish and seafood served at Dar is no doubt of high quality and can be savored with every bite. After a wonderful lunch, the cherry on top was fruits, dessert and coffee. A selection of Arabic sweets with biscuit w raha and kaak with debes. The dessert that stood out was the mafrouke with ashta. Our lunch ended with a nice cup of cafe latte.

Great Location. I would have preferred to have a more dedicated Entrance and not to see on the left the Shisha stuff corner, the toilets door wide open, the Fish display half empty and the hostess desk not facing the customers. Vibrant, warm atmosphere, irregular music background. Service is fantastic, and staff are smiling and efficient. Credit to Rabih and the team.

Simple table display. Fattouch and Hommos were very good, Tabouleh average. The Hot fish Mezzah require a slight touch of creativity and little more taste. We are in a Seafood restaurant and we need to rediscover the way fish is cooked and steamed and fried, differently from the traditional way. Please re-visit the fried fish as some were overcooked. Shrimps were spongy. Desserts were tasteless, fresh dates were very good.

I am sure that this can be rectified quickly because this place has a great opportunity. May I suggest to have a set menu and to dedicate the whole setting around the Seafood only. Please identify ONE dish that will be the star of the place; like for instance presented in a Blue Plate (Azrak) and somehow will compete with the rare Blue Lobster (Again Azrak). Good luck and keep it up.
