A bit quiet at the night we visited. Not many restaurants to choose from, and we ended up with simple dinner sets

We dropped at here before we got on
the jetfoil to Yakushima for lunch.
Here you can have any Kagoshima specialties from Tonkatsu to Seafood.

This is a great place for an ice cream and relax on the second floor. The view of Sakurajima is breathtaking as well as the bay and the many boats.

Went there before 4 pm and were lucky to find the "Bikuri-donkey" and ramen shop only open. All the other restaurants were closed from 15:00-17:30 on a Monday afternoon. We soaked our feet in the hotspring and enjoyed a milk-softcream outside overlooking the Sakurajima volcano.

Dolphin Port is a modest-sized shopping and restaurant complex overlooking the bay. There is a wide selection of restaurants. The big attraction is the view of the bay and Mt Sakurajima.

Relax with a coffee or beer and soak up the atmosphere.
