This hotel is purely a stop over for the time you are in between places. There is not much to do or see close by, but the Chiba minato station is close by and can take you places.

The restaurant is okay... Serves Italian dishes with a local hint. The buffet breakfast is very very basic and very few choices.

Rooms are old but clean and well maintained. Hotel provides only LAN Internet in rooms so carry your wifi router with you. Free wifi is available in lobby for the guests.

Cost wise is not so expensive, but then hotel has no amenities like Spa etc as well. There is a convenience store next to the lobby. All in all value for money if you come back only for a night cap.

The hotel is about a 30 second walk from Chiba-Minato station, which is roughly 40 minutes by fast train from Tokyo station, and about an hour from Narita airport via train and monorail. It was a good location for me as I was visiting the Summer Sonic festival three stations away, and closer hotels were already full when I booked my trip.

The decor in the rooms is a little old-fashioned but there's nothing wrong with it. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was a fridge, kettle and TV, and the shower always had plenty of hot water. My room rate included breakfast but I found the choice for vegetarians too limited - only eggs and salad - so I bought food from outside. There's a convenience store in the lobby of the hotel, as well as a bakery and small supermarket in the station (and another convenience store on the next block). The restaurant also serves dinner - I didn't eat there but it seemed to be mainly Italian dishes.

Be aware that the staff speak very little English - you'll be fine with basic check-in / check-out conversations, but more complicated queries may be harder to communicate.
