Funny to see this old railway through Otaru but nothing special.
This was the first railway line from Otaru to Sapporo and was working from the end of the 19th century until 1985.
I like it when they leave here as it is, especially for the people who live there and know the history of this old railway

Had a lovely stroll. It is not packed with people and it's a lovely serene walk. We were lucky to have a sunny and warm day that was so lovely to walk and take in the nature around :)

A very historical place right downtown Otaru. Trolling around there takes you back a 'hundred years' when logistics in town were much depending on the Sea and the railway. T

This is a nice place for photo taking. The rail tracks are well maintained and rather long, you may take your time to walk from one end to the other end.
