A total nightmare. 140 dollars for negative emotions ... Lions are wild animals not lap dogs. The poor animals do not want to engage in activities, but are forced to do that, otherwise probably it will be bad for business. The animals are being forced to walk in bushes in order to allow the tourists hold their tail and make stupid photos. When one of the lions wants to go away, he is beaten with a fist or a wooden pole. Of course bunch of tourists with an intelect of caterpillar enjoy this. This madhouse must be shut down ... :(

I saw Mukuni Big 5 on a tv show with Jack Hannah, so I felt as though that was a positive endorsement for this place. I did not want to support a place that was not kind to the animals.

My husband and I spent $200 each plus the video cost to meet and interact with and walk with both cheetahs and lions! It was well worth the money and obviously helps to pay to feed these big cats.

The animals all seemed well-adjusted. They enjoyed all the scratching and padding and loving. The cheetahs were even purring!

There are guides who gave you instructions on what to do and what not to do. Someone else may take your phone and take lots of photos for you…and/or you can get the video for about $45. They take credit cards!

The Mukuni facility is lovely, with nice landscaping and they will offer you complementary cold drinks. It is on the Zambia side of Victoria Falls in Livingstone stone and a very quick easy trip over the border if you are on the Zimbabwe side.... just bring your passport to cross the border!

This was. The 2nd time I was lucky enough to enjoy this experience. The cheetahs are extraordinary. The guides are knowledgeable, friendly and make the experience special. We had a group of 7 consisting of 5 of us and another couple. Unfortunately the 3rd cheetah was grouchy and we only had 2 for our group of 7. In actuality it was 1 cheetah for the 5 of us and the couple had the other. We enjoyed and we're there in early am so got to watch them run. Hopefully you will get a happy 3rd cheetah for your group.

Opportunity to walk with lions, cheetahs and elephants. Elephant ride was very good, but the lions and cheetahs felt very docile, bored and disinterested. The keepers did an excellent job in trying to engage the animals and were very good with taking photos on our phone for us - the full package of all 3 was very pricey for the experience though!

We participated in the cheetah walk. These cheetahs are beautiful and a spectaular experience to be able to touch and interact so closely with these exceptional animals. These animals appear to be well taken care of. We had mixed feelings about these animals being taken from the wild and put in captivity but these animals are being used to educate others to protect these and other animals.
