“Jasmine Homestay”

We spent 8 days here in early March 2016. They have 1 room only and cater for singles or couples. The room was comfortable with air con. Located not far from town, you are in a quite back street and out of the busy area but still only a 20 minute walk into town and most times we went along the river which was more pleasant and other than the occasional motor bike,no traffic. There are plenty of restaurant options along the river between Jasmine and town so you don't need to go into town for dinner if you don't want to and on the way stop for a cold beer with Mrs.Ha on the river. She is always happy and up for a chat. Jasmine has bicycles for hire at small fee and it was fun to explore the area, back streets and rice field surrounds as the whole place is very flat and comfortable riding in cooler months. The taxi fare to town was about 50k VND /$3 if you don't want to take the bicycle.

Mrs Bap was a good host and her banana pancakes for breakfast are recommended. Jasmine is well located just out of the busy town area but still close enough which suited us. Well worth it!

“AMAZING HOMELY room with private balcony overlooking veggie garden”

This place was such a gem to find. I first heard the music coming from the house and then popped my head inside to be greeted by Hieu and her beautiful mama! This house is very much a home and has such a great vibe. It's very clean and comfortable. The best thing is having breakie on the porch outside in the shade by the veggie garden. The breakfast was delicious - made with love and there is a variety of dishes. The mosquito net in the room gave me comfort after being ravage a few days before in Ho Chi Minh! Highly recommended!

The owners are very nice and helpful they picked us up at the train station a half hour away even after our train was delayed 12hrs there was still someone at the station waiting for us. The room it's self is very cute and clean there is a nice patio that opens up on to a garden. They have bikes they let you take for free. Every morning they also served us a nice breakfast and they would run to the market to get fresh ingredients for it everyday! I would hight recommend staying here they made our trip to hoi an much more enjoyable and it was also the cleanest nice place we found in all of Vietnam for the price!

“A proper home”

Staying at the Jasmine Homestay was a wonderful experience. The family, Hieu and her mother Bup looked after me like a family member. They cooked me interesting soups, as well as the beautiful breakfast, helped me with directions and information, and most importantly for a solo traveller, they made me feel very welcome. Just simply asking how your day was , or where are you going today, makes you feel cared for. They also were very caring on the day I got sick, to the point of offering to bring me food and making me tea. The homestay is in the delightful town of Hoi An, and staying in a homestay makes you feel so much a part of it. My room had a lovely bathroom, television and reading material, great, fast wifi, a mosquito net over the comfortable double bed, and lovely decor. Breakfast was at a small table outside the window, with a view of the garden. The best thing at Jasmine was the family, and the town. The only drawback was a long walk to town, but as I had the use of a bicycle every day, that wasn't a problem. I enjoyed the ride into town by the river, and home through the quiet streets.

We loved to stay at the Jasmine Homestay. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast served by Bup was great! And we even had the chance to cook dinner with the family - big recommendation! We loved it!
