Low quality, hotel is not as expected, it was very good in the past but unfortunately lost its quality in the last 5 years. Too expensive with current performance. They are trying to perform as a bigger hotel, not a small boutique hotel, with no experience an vision. Boutique hotels and larger enterprises are performing in a different way. But if you try to manage a larger hotel with no vision and no energy then you will face with such bad results.

Where to begin...! After spending a few days in Gocek and Patara to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary we made a spur of the moment decision to visit Kas. After some brief research using only our phones we settled on Villa Tamara and my god we're so glad we did.

The hotel is visually stunning, more like a large country house, golden stone arranged around a central courtyard. The reception area is a cosy, book filled/ sun-filled office, a welcome change from a stark uninviting reception desk.

When we arrived we were welcomed so warmly whilst simultaneously taking in the sheer beauty of our surroundings that we almost had to refrain from pinching ourselves.

Facilities include a large pool with ample sunbeds and shade, lush gardens and seating areas abundant with olive, pomegranate, lemon and orange trees. An incredible decked area overlooking the sea with huge loungers, shade and direct access to the sea, lunch can be taken there, in fact breakfast, lunch and dinner can be taken anywhere you desire at no extra cost. In fact nothing was too much trouble for any members of the staff.

Breakfast was delicious and ample, fresh fruit/vegetables, meats, cheeses, eggs, bread, coffee etc. The evening menu is well-thought out and priced and we ate a excellent meal there.

Our huge room overlooked the sea and was complete with balcony,a large bathroom, table and chairs, small fridge, toiletries, hairdryer etc.

The hotels and villas in this area, just outside Kas town, are serviced by a punctual bus service that stops right outside twice hourly and costs about £1. There is a steep hill up from the hotel to the road but not especially difficult, we're mid-50s and not especially fit and it wasn't a problem.

The above review doesn't come close to giving this extraordinary place justice, we had an exceptional stay that we will never forget, possibly topped the original honeymoon!

The hotel itself is very nicely built, relaxing atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was delicious but not a lot to choose from. Pool is clean and quiet. The ladder which you need to use to get in and out of the water from the sea needs cleaning as it was full of algae and very slippery. Breakfast and lunch is invaded by wasps. The room doesn't have insect netting on windows so be prepared for mosquitoes. The a/c unit was very mouldy so we did not use it. If the little things get fixed we would return, otherwise not again.

We were looking forward coming to Villa Tamara and beautiful Kas, to rest for few days after traveling around Turkey.
First impression: a grand stone built hotel and we said: wow! Reception was hard to find in the building and a woman saw us and started to yell for somebody to direct us or we thought, welcome us? Three level of stairs down we were in reception. We were taken after that three levels of stairs up to be given a dark little room on the side of the hotel ( we made reservation for a suite with sea view). After we suggested that it was a mistake, we were taken two levels of stairs up to another building, more stairs down and we were there. Spectacular sea view room with unimaginative decor and old, old furniture.
The pool and sea access were very nice. They have a bar and restaurant which is fine as you are a long way from downtown Kas. They charged for drinking water in the room which we found to be very "ungenerous". Overall wouldn't recommend.
