We ( 2 adults and a 4 year old) spent a week at this fabulous, well-equipped apartment at Easter. We had the top floor apartment which has a balcony, complete with hammock and an astonishing view of Kas harbour and town. The villa is located in a 'hamlet' within walking distance of the town and Big Pebble Beach. The local residents were really welcoming and it had a real Turkish feel to it. The Turkish family that run the Villa were excellent hosts, helpful but not intrusive. They have lived and worked in the town for many years and have a lot of useful local information if you need anything. They are fluent english speakers.
Kas, even at low season seemed to have plenty going on and a good atmosphere. There are plenty of places to swim in the clear blue sea and a boat taxi from the harbour to take you to local coves. Big Pebble Beach is very pretty but as the name suggests, it's not sandy , so if you want to make sandcastles, you need to travel about 45 minutes along the coast to Patara Beach (long sandy beach with facilities) or 20 minutes to Kaputas Beach (small pretty sandy cove with limited facilities). There is an amazing Amphitheatre about 5 minutes walk fromKas town centre near the hospital. The view is incredible and well worth a visit. The highlight of our week was a trip on the 'Gulsah 1' sailboat where we spent a day swimming in coves, sunbathing on deck and eating delicious home cooked food prepared by the crew, including fresh fish, grilled on board. We did not want to leave.
