“Gorgeous villa, perfect for relaxing in luxury”

The villa is very spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. In addition to the large pool area and loungers / seating there, there are a further two terraces with very comfortable seating and beautiful views - perfect to retreat to when the midday sun gets too much.

The pool was a lovely temperature and is cleaned daily. The wifi and air con were also great bonuses,

Kalkan is a beautiful place with more restaurants than you could ever visit, and loads of activities and day trips on offer. Alternatively, it is a great place to do nothing at all!

As with most of the spacious villas in Kalkan with pools, the villa is up a steep hill. It is a 10 / 15 minute walk downhill into the old town. We are young and fit but the walk back uphill in heat was very strenuous, so we did what everyone else seems to do and got a taxi back to the villa in the evening which only cost £3. Taxis are very easy to find in Kalkan.

Donna (the owner) could not have been more helpful and informative before we left. She made everything so easy and there was nothing for us to worry about, as we knew we were in safe hands.

“Spectacular Villa in a Beautiful Town”

We have visited Turkey before but never Kalkan. It is like no other place we have visited in Turkey, the people are so friendly and welcoming. The restaurants are fantastic with excellent service and wonderful food. Vapiano, Gironda and Baharat to name a few. We spent two weeks at Donna's wonderful villa, it is of the highest standard with three different levels to sit and enjoy the view. We sat on the roof terrace many evenings enjoying the view and enjoyed barbecues by the pool. The pool and outside area was cleaned every day and Gareth was on hand to make sure our stay was comfortable. Before our visit Donna, the owner, was more than helpful with loads of information to help us make the most of our stay. Especially good advice was to stop off at Gocek on the way back to the airport for lunch, a lovely resort. We have stayed at many villas across Europe and this one is of the highest standard we have come across and I would recommend anybody going to Turkey to try this one in Kalkan. There is so much to see while you are there, Patara Beach and amphitheatre, Saklikent Gorge, Kas and of course a boat trip atound the small coves. This was our best day on Yaldiz 2 with 2 other couples exploring the different coves nearr Kalkan.
Altogether a fantastic two weeks in amazing accommodation in a beutiful Turkish town. We will definitely returning to Kalkan and definitely Villa Palm. Once again a big thank you to Donna for use of her lovely villa and the advice given both while we were there and before we got there.

“Spectacular views”

We stayed for one week in this lovely villa which has spectacular views over Kalkan. Donna the owner was extremely helpful providing all the information we needed for our holiday. We loved sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine after an evening out in Kalkan. This was our first time to Turkey and we absolutely loved Kalkan with its narrow streets and rooftop restaurants and will definitely be visiting again (not too busy and not too quiet ).

We have no complaints at all about the villa it had everything we could possibly need - only problem - we just wished we had booked for longer!

Just as an extra note - Donna recommended Brave Tours for the transfer to and from the airport and they where 'first class ' very efficient and professional.

“Relaxing Surroundings....”
Reviewed 25 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Four of us ( 2 x couples) spent 2 glorious weeks at Villa Palm. Donna the owner has ensured that the Villa caters for everyone's needs....the ground floor sitting room has games, DVD's, CD's etc to help enhance your relaxation.....
The kitchen covers every angle and supplies of dishes, cutlery etc are in abundance.
The bedrooms are bright and airy with sliding doors out to a communal balcony between both 1st floor bedrooms.....
The top floor is basically for any kids who may be in your party, plus a washing machine is available to give your holiday clothes a quick wash......
The views from the balconies over the bay are stunning......
If I were to offer a suggestion to Donna it would be to fit a small freezer somewhere on the top floor as the journeys up and down to replenish the quickly melting ice cubes took it's toll on us....
During our 2 week visit the weather was glorious therefore the outdoor pool and sun beds were used every day.......
If I am to offer any negatives to this review then they are outwith Donna's control.......we lost the use of the internet (we required this to keep in contact with family at home)....and it took a few days to rectify......and on occasion a local pack of friendly dogs chose to give us the dawn chorus which woke us before 6am......but a few extra glasses of wine at night helped block out their barking.....
The Villa is situated quite high up the hill therefore a 'steep' gradient walk is required 'should' you choose to walk it.......we chose to walk down , over the footbridge and into Kalkan itself...the walk took no more than 10 minutes.....BUT....always got a taxi back home....(cheap at the price....approx £4 or so)....
All in all a beautiful villa.......well stocked to cater for everyone's needs.......relaxing location and only a 10 minute downhill stroll into the town itself.......
Donna employs the use of an ex-pat (Gareth) to assist should you require anything.......and she leaves a local mobile with a Turkish Sim card for your use should you require it, we used it to order a takeaway one evening as our wee legs couldn't walk anymore......
A thoroughly relaxing enjoyable two weeks.........

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of your stay in Villa Palm, very much appreciated. Thanks also for your suggestion of a freezer on the top floor, we were actually just talking about putting a fridge up there to make life easy for pouring a glass or two of chilled wine while sitting on the roof terrace surveying our kingdom! Will get that organised. We look forward to welcoming you back to Villa Palm in the future.
