“simply lovely”
Reviewed 2 January 2016 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed for one week at the end of August and were a party made up of family with young adults. The one thing that slightly put me off booking this villa was the lack of recent reviews so here I am, putting that right. The villa is wonderful, huge, clean and with stunning views. It is so large and with so many different areas to relax, it's very easy to totally chill. We loved the large dining table outside that has its own natural shade. Perfect! The cool sitting room for those who needed to get out of the fierce sun and slug of air con. The raised terrace for peaceful breakfast. The pool area (although slightly over looked from the villa above) is gorgeous and very well maintained by the lovely pool man who visits everyday with fresh bread for breakfast. One of the nicest aspects is sunsets on the rooftop terrace. The floor cushions are a little shabby but it is just a wonderful place for a G&T before dinner. The master bedroom and en suite is completely gorgeous with breath-taking views and its own veranda. The only draw back is it is very high on the hill and walking down to the town and back is arduous. We managed this once and it was very hard and we are a fit family! I certainly think a hired car is vital. There is no way you could carry groceries for the whole household, back to the villa. Vital for general getting around the area too. I would certainly like to go back! Thank you Sue.

Management Response

Thank you for your lovely review... we are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Villa Vanilla. .. the advantage of being up on the hill away from the centre of Kalkan is that it's quiet and also it's cooler as you get mountain breezes and of course you have the fabulous view of the Medeiterranean. A car is helpful but also there are many inexpensive taxis who will pick you up from the villa and take you to a restaurant or the beach. Supermarkets in Kalkan will also deliver groceries. Thanks for the feedback about the cushions on the roof terrace - these have been replaced this winter as well as all the cushions in the house as we like to keep it a home form home. We would love to welcome you back sometime soon!

We have a wonderful stay in villa vanila.
the villa is spacious, fully equipped and very lovely. The seaview swimming pool is fantastic and the garden is charming. The villa is located on a little hill and surroundings are quiet. Villa is near Downtown kalkan (no more than 1 km) where you can find all amenities (very good restaurants, pub, supermarket, bank, etc).there are beautiful beaches near kalkan (patara and kaputas are beautiful).thank you Sue for thid wonderful stay.
