“Wonderful place for family camping!”

Grass Point State Park
Reviewed 28 June 2018

The campground is very clean and very well maintained. The new playground and shower/rest room facility near by are amazing. Our grandchildren loved being able to ride their bikes and meet other kids so easily. Easy accesss to the boat launch. The river view sites offer many opportunities to watch large boats and tugs. We had a great time there!

The park is well maintained and very clean. All the staff smiled and waved whenever they passed and the few that I had a chance to speak with were very friendly and took the time to talk and asked how we were, how we were enjoying the park etc...

This is a nice area especially if you have kids and are camping. It has an electric hook up area for campers and a non-electric camping area. It has a very tiny beach front for swimming. It has a large playground for the kids. A nice view of the water, restrooms, bath house, lifeguards when in season and picnic tables. It's not too far from local area shops and food. It's a state park so you need to pay a fee or have an Empire Pass for access. Decent view of the thousand islands bridge and lots of birds in the area if you are patient.

Stayed here three times in 2017, with the last at the end of August. A really nice upgraded playground, bath house, and great camping highlight the beauty of the river and the boat access is fine for those in need. Seaway freighters are just off shore and really give a great view for all ages. Good location between Alex Bay and Clayton, with close access to I-81 and Canada to the north via Wellesley Island. Thousand Islands region is all around, not much better in the summer season!

a nice place for a walk, especially on a sunny day. Cleaner than many other parks in the area, probably because it is not as well known
