1st generation Aussie but brought up in a very Italian house hold I am always looking for that occasional Italian meal.
Da Mario is one place I stumbled upon while at a market and glad I was that I spotted this place.
Somewhat large restaurant with a simple set up and a wood fire oven roaring in one corner, staff friendly and attentive with fast service at hand.
Food was very authentic and simple as it should Italian food should be, my wife and I shared spaghetti with garlic and oil a simple dish often gotten wrong but not this one it was perfect just right balance of garlic and pasta cooked al dente.
The other dish was mellenzani parmigiana which is backed eggplant in sauce with cheese again basic but perfect and tasty.
While there we noticed the pizzas coming out of the oven and they looked amazing which made us decide to come back in the next couple of days.
Keep you posted.
