We were in Arusha on a quick stop before heading out on Safari. The airport pick-up at Arusha airport was easy and well-organized; check-in was lovely and all the staff are nice in the check-in area, restaurant, etc. We needed an ATM and there is one about a block away and the Maasai Market is a quick 5-10 minute walk down the street (past the ATM), so we got some shopping done. We were looking forward to using the pool, but it was under construction, which wasn't clear on their website. We had a room with 2 beds that was very spacious with super comfortable beds. Lovely place to stay.

The location is great for walking to restaurants.

But there is construction/renovation going on and even though the hotel was empty they put us in a room right next to the noise. When the fundis arrived in the morning it sounded like they were standing right outside of our door having a chat.

Customer service is spot on! Really great team.

Check in was rather slow but there was a lot of us. The rooms are stunning. Huge bathroom and pool view.

Gym and pool facilities are an added bonus and the food is great!

This hotel is newly renovated, and was really really nice. The room was perfect, and my overall experience it was perfectly suited and worked perfectly. Also, the security at the hotel is nice, and can be a way to dodge the hawkers that flog things, and may follow you around in a way that makes you uncomfortable. However, a couple notes:

- Make sure you’re not on the street side. It can be really noisy on that side.
- There’s a structural flaw in the hotel in as much as the pipes are too small, and the showers can flood the rooms in some areas.
- A friend got food poisoning from undercooked meat in the restaurant.

Also when I was there, they switched the internet services so you can only have one device connected to the internet under your name/room. This is such an inconvenience for business travellers with a laptop and smartphone.

Room Tip: 2nd floor garden view is best for drainage.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The rooms are nice and the staff try to be helpful but ultimately the experience was very stressful.
We dined in the restaurant and were served food we did not order. When we brought it up to the server they insisted the food was correct (it really wasn't).
The front desk was also a challenge. Even though I booked an airport transfer with the front desk, when I checked out they realized they had forgotten to order it. In addition to this the credit card machines kept freezing so they could not process my payment. After THIRTY minutes of continually retrying they suggested we used a paper form to process the payment. Why they didn't suggest this earlier on I don't know. It was just very stressful because I had to get to the airport to catch a flight. I was able to catch the flight but only with about 20 mins to spare. In my view this level of quality is not what I would expect from SPG

However, on this occasion our staffs (who are human) may have made mistakes that resulted in you receiving less than perfect service.

We take this opportunity to apologize for the inconveniences that you faced during your stay. We have taken corrective actions on your feedback and have used it as a training tool to train our team so that they can deliver things in more a concise and consistent way.

Unfortunately with the EDC machine failing it was something to be sorted by the service provider. (We agree that our associates should have offered you an alternative payment option sooner). We would like you to know that we have communicated to the bank notifying them about the challenge that we faced with the EDC machine and they have sorted the issue out. Henceforth we will ensure that there is more flexibility in terms of payment option to avoid delays for any of our guest.

In the last few days we have tried reaching out to you as well. We would like to connect with you, so that we can ensure that we have better understanding of the challenges that you faced and take further corrective measures.
