We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights and that was, in hindsight, a mistake.

When you look this hotel up online everything looks to be good and nice, this is however far from how things are in reality.

The room has quite a number of problems, starting with the water pressure and water temperature. It is so terribly inconsistent that in those 11 days we were there, we never really had an enjoyable shower. While taking a shower it isn't weird that all of a sudden the pressure gets lost, the temperature rises to really hot or all of a sudden drops so that you find yourself in a cold shower. It also happened more than once that we had no warm water at all, and even tho we mentioned this several times, nothing was done to fix the problem.
Waterdrainage in the shower is very bad too. Even during a relatively short shower, the water doesn't drain properly which results in a rising waterlevel on the floor. If you'd shower for too long, you'd flood the entire bathroom (and eventually the room too).

Like most other hotels, this hotel also offers a laundryservice. Something which is very convenient is you're staying for a longer period of time.
We had our laundry done twice and even tho it was perfect the first time, it sure wasn't the second time. Quite a few items were returned while still being wet.

In general the staff working at the hotel is friendly. It can however sometimes be a little difficult to communicate with them since most of the staff doesn't speak English.
So that's definately something to improve on, especially since there were a lot of foreign guests.

The finishes in the hotel are quite poor and not what you'd expect from a hotel with a 4+ star rating. Cracks in the wall, bad paintwork, horrible looking joints in the bathroom and a dirty balcony. No, not what you'd expect from 4+ stars.

The location of the hotel is good and bad at the same time.
It's convenient to have quite a big road in front of the hotel but at the same time it gives quite a bit of noise in the hotelroom since the glass is too thin.

Our biggest problem with this hotel was the restaurant.
Breakfast is ok and divers, but that's basically the only good thing.
During our 11 days in the hotel we logically wanted to have dinner in the hotel restaurant more than once. First two times when we wanted to order something a la carte, we heared that the dishes we wanted were sold out. It was about the exact same dishes, with 2-3 days between the first and second time we had dinner.
So there would have been plenty of time to get things in stock again, but it simply didn't happen. Since at that time we didn't want to go somewhere else, we ordered something else from the menu and thankfully there was nothing wrong with those dishes. They were delicious, the price was good and so was the size of the dishes.
Apart from those two times we had dinner in the hotel, we wanted to have have dinner in the hotel two more times.
But...both times things didn't work out since the dishes we wanted (still the same onces as the ones we wanted the first two times) were still sold out. So we had dinner somewhere else.
So basically we went to the restaurant 4 times to order certain dishes, but it simply didn't happen. The 4th time we planned on having dinner in the hotel we asked in the morning if they had the dishes available so that we already knew in the beginning of the day if it would be possible to have dinner in the hotel that night.
The dishes we wanted were, surprise surprise, sold out.
If a situation like that would take place in other hotels we visited, they would make sure to have those dishes available at the end of that day. There was an entire day left to do some shopping and to get the things that were needed, but that simply didn't happen.
Don't put food on the menu if you don't plan on serving it!

Royal Padjadjaran Hotel; not recommended!

My room was extremely noisy from the trafic which went on all night. I couldn't get propper sleep that night. After i showered i noticed that there were no towels. So i had to call housekeeping and wait for the towel while wet.

The location is in the city center, Jl. Pajajaran Bogor. Many Factory Outlets nearby. The hotel has 9th floor with city or mountain view. The room is good, with balkon. However, the balkon is very dirty with many smoke stubs (they need to inspect this!). The foods are great. It also has a swimming pool (depth between 1 and 1.5 m) and a small Gym room.

We took the king bed room and the room is huge. The hotel gave us extra pillow even though they have very limited extra. However, the room has no mirror so it's very hard if I want to blow dry my hair.
We stayed in the room facing the street, so it was very noisy.

Location is great with so many restaurants around the hotel.
Breakfast is OK with many selections. I have no complains. However during our stay, it seemed that the hotel does not have enough staff to cater all the guests. I found so many used plates and glasses that haven't been picked up.

Room Tip: Get rooms that are not facing the street

We stayed at room number 321 and 322. We love the bed! Huge and very comfy.. but so sad, our rooms were just by the street and it was very noisy..cant get a peaceful sleep.
And there was no facial tissue inside the room.
Amenities are great. Location is superb, couldn't ask for a better place to stay. If i plan another family short trip, i will prefer here but not rooms by the street anymore.
Internet so so.. not too slow not too fast either.
Breakfast quite interesting, delicious and varied. Well anyways im not a hard person to be pleased, all foods are delicious to me.
