We spotted this 3 BR pool villa when we stayed down the same lane nearby 2 years ago and even though we were only a team of 4 it was fantastic value. Loved the hedge in place of the fence over the ravine - you feel like the whole area is yours and that you are on the edge of a jungle. The pool is magnificent and gets the afternoon sun. Agus our house manager is delightful and keeps the place spotless. He even created a magnificent flower display out of the heliconia we bought at a local flower shop. Agus cooked a delicious daily breakfast and treated us like royalty. He even got our jokes and was fun to be around! The place is beautifully furnished and you can always buy extra provisions at the nearby Bintang supermarket. There are also great rice fields nearby to explore on your early morning walks. Highly recommended if you want to feel like you actually live in Bali, away from the big hotels.
Lovely quiet area of Ubud with quiet lanes to stroll down but with many local, tasty warungs to try. Spacious rooms, big pool and a lovely orchid filled garden overlooking a tropical gorge, so you don't feel fenced in. Best of all you are looked after by Agus. He keeps the place spotless and cooks the best breakfasts, including his legendary poached eggs. He does it all with humour, friendliness and enthusiasm. His english is great, so he can help with advise on places to visit. Would be back in a heartbeat. Booking through Steve at Ubud Private Villas is always easy.
Thanks to Agus and Private Ubud Villas for yet another amazing stay at Villa Bindi, our home away from home. It was fantastic to see you again Agus and your breakfasts were brilliant as always (even though Bon still refuses to eat your amazing tropical fruit bowls). The grounds were more beautiful than ever, with all the orchids flowering, the passion fruit vine laden with fruit, and the view over the ravine superb. Such a peaceful location, nestled away from the hustle and bustle in a local Balinese neighbourhood, perfect for soaking up Bali’s beauty and culture. And at the same time, only a stone’s throw from various restaurants, art galleries, yoga centres and museums. Can’t wait to be back again soon!
A beautiful villa in the village of Penestanan, a few minutes from Ubud. Situated in the heart of the village but down a small pathway and very quiet. You feel you are in the middle of the countryside and there are beautiful rice paddy walks all around but you are also only minutes from numerous restaurants and warungs. The villa was so comfortable, the large pool was SO refreshing after a busy day - or even after a stroll up the path for dinner at night - and sitting in the bale with a drink in the late afternoon and looking out over the gardens and the river below was magical. The breakfasts Agus cooked every morning were delicious and he was also very helpful, arranging anything we requested. Can't wait to go back!!
I am a frequent Ubud traveler and over the past 3 years have spent over 7 months in Ubud in 10+ private villa’s. Villa Bindi is not only the best of them all, so is the caretaker Agus, and his breakfast. He is always on time, and a ray of sunshine in a place where smiles are hard to find among those who work in the hotel industry. His English is the best I ever heard inside a hotel, and he is always ready to help you. And educate you about Indonesia.
Villa bindi is spotless and clean, a magical garden with a view of the jungle. The largest pool I ever saw inside a villa. The rooms beautiful and well kept. It is in the little stuff where this place is a major step up from other places, they did not skimp on the electricity contracts (yes....no power outages), best WiFi contract (yes zero issues and high speed), and a full blast aircon (yes, even on hot days your room is still super cold!!) Three things I did not hold as possible on Bali, I always thought I had to live with it.
The owner of villa bindi cares about her staff a great deal, treats them well. Like family. To me this is important. If it isn’t to you, it should on Bali.
It is possible to arrange through Agus for a lady to come to turn the villa into a spa. Highly recommended.
The villa is near restaurants, short walking distance. And far enough from Ubud to be quiet, close enough to easily get there. Behind the villa you can take nice walks in the rice fields, and even one out of 3 real supermarkets in the area is within a short distance.
