I strongly recommend to everyone who plans to visit Bali to spend at least 2-3 days in Ubud, and if you have any doubts, come to Natura Resort & Spa. It is quite, calm, relaxing, green, everything you need while you're here. Beautiful swimming pool though. Plus, the hotel provides free shuttle bus service to Ubud and back.

Cleanliness - 5
Staff - 5
Location - 5
Other positives - I've read some other reviews here and they are ridiculous. One especially about there being signs up warning people not to lean over the edge. That seems like a fairly sensible warning to me!

This place was fantastic. It's in a beautiful setting, peaceful and luxurious. What's better than sitting out on the deck or your patio and being in the jungle. Take a dip in one of the infinity pools and watch the monkeys play in the trees. If you love nature this is the place for you.

Other reviews have mentioned it being run down and eerie. I disagree. It is authentic, rustic and charming. Any damaged floorboards around the pool area have been replaced now.

We were the only guests for our one night stay and it was all the better for it. The staff treated us like royalty and we had the whole place to ourselves. The food was also very good.

I would quite happily stay here for another week. If you're looking for a clinical, polished hotel than this isn't for you, if you want something that fits in perfectly with the natural surroundings then it's spot on.

Other negatives - my only complaint is that they didn't have the wine we wanted (because it's low season) and our shower window was cracked.

Value for money/Overall rating - 4.5
Would I Stay Again? Definitely

We picked this resort for its location & it didn't disappoint. Our room had a balcony ( which we felt safe on), looking out over the valley, which made you feel at one with nature. We enjoyed watching the wildlife from here. The room was a decent size with a very large en suite, which had a bath & a rainforest shower. The staff were exceptional, and as a review said before we were treated like royalty , we also got a free upgrade on our room. The resort provided a shuttle down to Ubud town centre, which only took about 10 mins. We liked the fact that we were away from the hustle & bustle of the Ubud town!! It had 2 swimming pools, 1 up near the resort & the other down by the river & massage rooms. Overall we had a nice relaxing time here & would not hesitate recommending this place to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony overlooking the valley/gorge

Would have been a great resort when first built but has aged quite a bit.
Ridiculously long, steep walk to the pools and massage facilities, felt like a day trip. Would not recommend for anyone that is not exceptionally fit.
We didn't bother with Dining in as the vibe was eerie.
All railings are in poor condition, warning signs are present but if leaned on you would almost certainly fall to your death. Anyone with children should steer clear.
Our room was good in size but very dark and dingey, unable to use the shower as it consisted of 3 droplets of cold water, worst shower head I've ever seen. Sticky tape was holding it together.
Because of location there was a lot of noise from animals which is fine but we would find random faeces when returning to our room.
A fair drive from ubud center and the location was not near any convenience stores or restaurants.
Nice staff but would not stay here again.

The service was so good we were treated like kings and queens
Very special place all the staff where so helpful gave us an upgrade room with private pool for no extra cost then we had a body massage all within the cost of the room. Then they had a private car to take you to U Bud and pick up
