Owner description: The Campuhan Ridge Walk is arguably the best known Ubud trek and with good reason. The sparse crowds and the aesthetically rich vistas remind one of why people from around the world come to Bali. The trail starts at the historical origin of Ubud, the confluence (or Campuhan) of the Wos Rivers.

We loved the walk! You can see green fields, jungle forests, little tree swing... we bypassed some cute coffee shops until we reached rice fields and small art shops. Not quite sure how long it goes but there's always something to see. Loved it! I would also really recommend our driver Marta (+62 821 4425 2626) who took us there (and many other places). He is really nice and easy guy, very polite and does his work honestly. Advised and took us to a local market to to get stuff way cheaper than in touristic places. Easy to engage in conversations and to know more about real Bali.

Like the locals would say, biasa saja. Just ordinary. It's just a nice and decent place for some exercise such as walking or jogging. Other than that, there's nothing particularly special about it. You won't miss a thing if you leave this out. But if you have time to spare, just take a walk. Won't hurt you either.

Great little hiking-trip to take on your own when in Ubud. The views of the creeks and the rice paddies are just beautiful.

The trail is easy to find, not hard at all (even in the midday sun it's possible), and you would have no problems walking in flip-flops.

We went from central Ubud to the point, where you have to walk a "normal road", turned back, had a refreshment at Karsa Kafé (also recommended) and went back. All in all it took 2½ hours maximum.

I made it to the path for sunrise, and had the whole trek to myself. I was a little spooked at first, having had walked 40 minutes through the city in dark by myself to get to the trail head. But the trip was totally worth it.
If you are going for sunrise, take your time walking as I made it to all the cafes and building as the sky turned a vivid orange, and my view was pretty poor. Wait it out on the ridge to get the best views of the sky.
Definitely a great way to start of finish one of your quieter days here in Ubud.

This is a beautiful and free walk. It should take you about 45 minutes one way if you stop to take pictures. If you take a drone and stop for a cold drink close to the end, it will take you longer. This is a lovely walk starting at a temple, continuing along a beautiful ridge and finishing in a village of villas, shops and cafes. Take a bottle of water with you, because it’s hot and there is not much shade.
