We found this place on flipkey and boy was it a find! Beautiful garden and pool nestled in the little city of Mas. Stayed here with 3 of my girlfriends while traveling around Bali. The restaurant next door was wonderful and taxis were easily set up by Kadek in the morning to wherever we wanted to go- and for much cheaper than what we would have paid flagging one down on the road. The markets, temples and monkey forest in the center of ubud are a short 10 min drive away (80,000idr) and coming back to the villa every night was a wonderful way to end the day peacefully away from everything. Breakfast of our choice every morning and great coffee! it's a must stay type of place! We only got to meet Annie on the last day but I was suffering from the infamous bali belly and she helped out tremendously ! Thanks for everything and we will be back again !

We spent 6 relaxing and quiet nights staying at Angel House. An oasis after the hustle and bustle of Seminyak.
Our rooms were comfortable and very clean with attention to detail such as a torch beside the bed, tea making facilities and water jugs and glasses.
We were well looked after at breakfast each morning with a great menu to choose from. Help organising a local driver for day trips or into Ubud was much appreciated as well as tips on places to eat locally.
The pool and garden area are divine to relax in.
Thank you so much Annie, Rod,Kadek, Rusma and Luna for a fabulous stay. We'll be back for sure.

A pleasant surprise! We stayed for 5 nights and upon arrival was greeted with a refreshing and much needed welcoming turmeric drink. We stayed at Sandar Suite which was a spacious room with french doors (there is something romantic about french doors!). It also had a couch which could open up into a sofa bed, not that we had the need to use it as there was ample space in the open-wardrobe. The bathroom was clean and spacious too. Coffee, tea, water and kettle was provided, so you can make your own cuppa, which we often did with the coffee as it was pretty good. They have a hairdryer which will be provided upon request. The suite opens into the garden which is beautifully landscaped and lush. The garden really captured the essence of Bali with its quiet, serene and diverse greenery. The breakfast was great, it was served daily with fresh fruits, coffee/tea, fruit juice and your choice of local/western breakfast. It was too bad that Annie was in hospital during our stay so we missed her company. Her staff e.g. Ibu Rusma and Pak Kadek were fun to have around and offered some great tips on what to see and do in Ubud such as, having a massage with Ibu Rusma (she is really good!!). Ubud Centre is not too far away from Mas, about 15 - 20 minutes drive by car depending on traffic. If you wish to stroll around Mas, there are plenty of things to sneak a peek at as Mas is an art street. Look out for the Mas Traditional Market, Adil Artshop and other art and woodwork shops. We didn't know it then, but Angel House is close to a number of recommended warungs (i.e. restaurants). In fact, you would find us quite often at Warung Thor, just a stone's throw from Angel House. After a full day of touring and walking, it was a pleasure to return to Angel House. We truly enjoyed our time in Angel House.

What a delight to arrive at Angle House after the craziness of nearby Ubud.
Peace and tranquility plus.
We have stayed at Angle House a number of times over the past seven years and have always been more than happy with the service and quality of the accommodation.
This time we were completely taken by surprise as there have been so many changes and I must say all for the better.
There are now three rooms to choose from, all spotlessly clean and well appointed with hotel quality mattress and bedding.
A mosquito net is provided for the bed not that it was used while we visited as there were no mosquitos.
All rooms have adequate and tasteful furnishings to store your belongings and good AC and fan to ensure that you remain comfortable in the heat of the day or at night when sleeping.
Our room had a comfy couch inside and table and chairs on the veranda overlooking the swimming pool.
Towels and toiletries are provided and drinking water, coffee and tea making facilities are available in all rooms.
A nice touch were the flowers which were placed at the entrance to the room on the veranda, on the bed and in the bathroom.
The water is hot and the bathroom and toilet spotlessly clean.
We were even provided with a torch in case the power went out in the night.
A flat screen Television and DVD, with a wide variety of discs, provide entertainment if you tire of swimming in the delightful, sparkling clean, swimming pool right outside your door.
This pool is small, but big enough to be cool and inviting and is surrounded by a lush garden which provides shade, perfume and colour.
Breakfast is provided and you are offered a wide choice such as, pancakes, muesli, fruit salad, yoghurt, eggs, toast made from fresh baked sour dough bread, Balinese black rice pudding, coffee, tea and juice, a breakfast that is fresh, filling and more than adequate.
The staff are wonderful, friendly and are always ready to help you with a smile if you need anything, such as laundry or transport and are a wealth of information about the local area and are more than willing to share this knowledge.
The surrounding area has many eating places offering a variety of local and western food. A connivence store is located within five minutes walk and there is an ATM machine here also.
Angle House is situated down a small laneway off one of the main roads to Ubud so is close to transport but far enough away from the traffic to remain quiet and tranquil.
I will certainly return on my next visit to Bali and I can wholeheartedly recommend Angle house to anybody looking for a home away from home.
Our group of 4 booked 5 nights at Angel House and had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Rod and Annie have created a lovely oasis with 3 private suites built around an inviting pool and a serene Balinese garden. It was a pleasure to return to this quiet haven after a long day of touring and walking.
Annie generously shared her knowledge on where to go, the best food places, even gardening and baking tips. We enjoyed her freshly baked sourdough bread! Ibu Rusma cooked delicious local and fusion breakfasts for us every morning, accompanied by fresh fruit, healthy juices, ginger tea and Balinese coffee. Rusma is also an excellent masseuse and eased our tired limbs with her skilled hands. Pak Kadek the smiling caretaker/gardener was kind enough to take us on a walk to his village and home and the nearby padi fields, an informative glimpse into the local community.
Terima Kasih to all of you for your warm hospitality and for giving us a memorable stay!
