When I found out my wife book this .... and was private owned.... I have my doubts . Specially travelling with 2 small kids .
But is being a great surprise , nice, quiet and clean....
first impressions last forever
Unfortunately illness precluded my wife tarvelling and I spent the week alone . I had a trade conference to attend and wanted to be separate from the other activities . Leo picked me up late at night from the airport and Elle the housekeeper was at the villa on arrival. Elle was very helpfull all the time and made life easier with assistance if required . The Fridge had some immediate items in it and that was appreciated. There is a number of small convenience stores within close walking distance.
The villa is outfitted quite well and was a little oasis . I enjoyed the ability to live in a normal house environment.
Wonderful villa in nice quite area of Nusa Dua,with all the comforts of home. We had so much help from everyone, right from our arrival which was delayed by 4 hours. Thank you Jetstar. Everyone was tired, but so welcoming and friendly. Very comfortable and clean beds, and so quiet of a night. The villa was cleaned daily by Elle, who was so helpful with any of our other needs as well. A big thankyou to Elle. Situated in a lovely street, friendly locals and a few small shops close by for day to day needs. Be prepared to hire Taxis, but so cheap, minimum fare $3 AUD will get you to any where around Nusa Dua. A few Warungs close by, try AqNormal for a fun meal, only 5 minute walk. Thank you Kerry for being so helpful with our booking and allowing us to stay in your lovely villa, we all thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Highly recommend if you are looking for some where quite away from big resorts of Nusa Dua.
This 3 bedroom villa is situated within a village a couple of minutes away from the big hotels that line the beach in Nusa Dua.
The street/gang is home to the local Balinese going about there daily lives and as it was school holidays we enjoyed hearing and watching the local children playing in the street during the day The nights were quiet apart from snatches of laughter heard from families enjoying themselves.
A short walk will take you to a few small shops or delis as we call them and each evening you can find the locals selling there foods to the locals and tourists alike.
The villa itself is lovely and clean thanks to Elle the housekeeper who is a little whirlwind and who is happy to cook for you if you wish to stay in for the evening etc.She is lovely and friendly and very helpful with anything you need.
Leo the driver picked us up from the airport and we also spent a lovely day up around the Ubud area with him as he is a licensed tour operator. We started the day as driver and passengers and by the end we felt we had made a lovely friend.
It is only a short walk into the main restaurant strip but the return walk is uphill so would suggest unless you are very fit to get a driver home.
Bluebird taxis are good but we downloaded the GRAB app onto our phone before leaving Australia and these are brilliant. They use a GPS system so finding us was easier for them than the taxis.Note on this the GPS picks up your location on the next street but it only takes half a minute to walk out the front of the villa to your left and walk down the little lane way to your left and you are then on the correct street. This is still much easier than trying to explain to a taxi driver where you are. Also GRAB is cheaper than a taxi as takes you the shortest route and they tell you how much the fare will be before you accept.Hint !, if going to Kuta etc ask the driver to go the tollway and tell them you will pay the $1.10 fee yourself as this will save over half an hour plus to get there as very few locals go this way due to the toll fee
If you want a lovely relaxing oasis away from the noise and chaos of Kuta etc this is definitely the place for you.
The villa has 2 bedrooms within the main villa and a "guest house" with a queen size bed and its own ensuite. The air conditioners are icy cold and the kitchen is filled with all the cooking utensils you would need if cooking for yourself etc.Mossie repellant ,drinking water and free wifi is all supplied along with clean linen etc.
The villa is owned by Kerry an Australian who was very helpful etc when we found ourselves delayed in Bali by our airline.
We had a lovely stay and my husband has already said he would like to stay here again next time we come.
Thankyou Kerry ,Elle and Leo for making my husbands first visit (he has never wanted to come to Bali but I talked him into it) a lovely experience which has started his love of the Bali Life.
We look forward to seeing you again in the not so distant (hopefully) future.
Terimah Kasih , Denise and Steve.
Experience local village lifestyle. This villa has it all if you want to get away from crowded side of Bali.
The village has two local spas within easy walking distance both awesome and cheap, a local restaurant, convenience stores, local tour diver lives next door!
10 min by taxi to nusa dua beach strip restaurants. Most have free pickup and drop off from the villa.
Locals are super friendly and the house maid is a great cook.
Hell i'm booking again!
