One must visit this ghat atleast once in the evening time to see the ganga arati. One can also hire a boat from here to see other ghats.

We were on the Ganges for the evening and when the prayer ceremony starts, around 7pm, its a wonderful view. There are a lot of boats that stop to view from the river, we didnt stay for the whole ceremony but if youre there early I dont think your boat would be able to get out as its crowded.

Like anybody else, I also got deluded by the mesmerizing pictures and videos of the place. The place has lost its anciency, as low-quality pavements have been developed along with a platform for sightseeing. However, there is absolutely no sight to be seen.

First of all, do not visit Varanasi anytime before October and after February, as the weather could be extremely oppressive. Also, the best time to visit all these places is after the sunset is over.

The place is very untidy, animal dung lying all over the place, poorly developed, garbage thrown here and there and place full of beggars. There was absolutely no spiritiuality to be felt at this place. As food options you have worst quality street stalls that could make you end up at a hospital bed. I don't recommend.

We booked a boat ride and seen all the ghats and while returning we stopped for Ganga Aarti

It was a divine experience watching aarti live.

If you are travelling with elders and young children my advice is to carry some food and winter clothes with you as it will be damn cold while watching the aarti from Boat
