We stayed at Haveli Inn Pal, not to be confused with the other Haveli Inns. From what I understand there are 3 hotels with almost the same names. There are 2 brothers, each with their own hotel. I believe 1 brother owns 2 properties. This became very confusing when we would sit in the outside bar and order and then charge to our room; only to find out that we were not at our hotel! Our actual hotel was only a few steps back further in the courtyard. One entrance, 2 hotels. Everyone was polite about our confusion. Our room was very spacious, clean, and had all the necessities. The top floor(just above the 3rd floor) was an open bar/restaurant with a lovely view of the fort and surrounding area. Breakfast was served on the rooftop as well. This may be problematic for anyone who can't go up and down stairs.

Room tip: We stayed on the first floor. We only went upstairs to eat and checkout.

Fantastic historical hotel right in the centre of town. The rooftop restaurant is very good and the views are the best in town. This ' western standard' hotel is very professionally run with friendly and helpful staff.Highly recomended!

High points were central location and the lovely view from the roof. The rooms were furnished to inconsistent standards, out room the second time we visited was much nicer than the first. Nothing wrong with this place its just a bit basic.

I booked a heritage view room (£35 per night) and got a view of Gulab Sagar, not the fort, That's fine, except that one of the small kunds just outside my window was being used as a urinal pretty much non stop. It certainly wasn't picturesque.

The room was quite basic, no safe, no mini fridge. but there was an efficient a/c unit fan. The bathroom didn't get any ventilation and in the evening you could probably bake a pizza in there.
Other bits n bobs included a small LCD TV, desk and a couple of chairs. I wasn't keen on the bed, the mattress was quite comfy, but I didn't like the tall bed frame. must be a 'Heritage' bed (shrugs). I'm six foot three and needed to use the provided foot stool to get on it. In the morning when I got up, I forgot about the stool and put my foot down half on half off nearly twisting my ankle.

I didn't like the power points either, there's quite a few dotted about but mostly a dark colour, I needed a torch to see what I was doing when using the one by the desk as it was nearly at floor level.

Dining? I used the onsite restaurant twice for breakfast and once for a light evening meal. Staff were pretty efficient and the view of fort from the roof is of course pretty spectacular.

So my overall opinion is that it was okay, but next time I'm in Jodhpur, I might try the other Pal Haveli (in the same courtyard).

Great place to stay in the market. Good spacious rooms. Nice friendly staff. Great tea. wonderful feel of the Haveli. May be they could add a couple of items to the breakfast menu. But overall a very good experience.
